Well, I plugged in my 2600. Nothing. The led was on for like 2 seconds. Then just.... died. I don't know how to describe it. Is it an adapter problem? I'm going to try to get it working some more. I hope I don't need to buy another Atari. I just bought something pretty cool for it. Please help.

Make one?  RickR what do you do (I need to know more).

I probably made it sound better than it really is.

There are two brands of wireless phones that use a 9V, 500ma wall wart:  Panasonic and Vtech.  So basically, you go to Goodwill, find those wall warts, cut the connector off, and solder on a nice quality 1/8" mono plug.  They work great, and are much higher quality than the ones Atari produced in the 70's and 80's.

I'll have a batch of 3 done as soon as I get some motivation.  If anyone is interested.
