Justin
What do you get if you combine the nerdy ingenuity of ETH Zurich, the creativity of Disney researchers, and a swanky Swiss night club with a 360-degree projection system? The world's only cooperative 8-player, 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System capable of continuous, panoramic side-scrolling on that aforementioned 360-degree display, of course. RickR
Wow! How cool is that! It's fascinating to watch the game unfold like that. I would guess games that "reset" enemies once they scroll off the screen wouldn't work as well. It really speaks volumes about how great the programming was on SMB that it actually works well in this mode.

AlamoAtari
interesting concept. The oculus headset part is a bit silly for me. I think that a better use of the oculus would be virtual boy games. It might be just me, but this concept only works for side scrollers, no Zelda

Tina Turner was very pretty , but THAT was in 1985 ..... go for the chainsaw as fast as you can .... oh wait ,,, sorry went off topic  yeah that NES thing is really cool , I could see a home market for something like that using the upper boarder for say a bedroom

It really speaks volumes about how great the programming was on SMB that it actually works well in this mode. I thought the same thing! It's a fantastically executed concept, I'm curious to see the applications for this in environments like Chuck E. Cheese or Dave & Busters. It reminds me of something Nolan would've done at uWink. I don't know how consistently you could get groups of eight wanting to play. The NES was a great system to try this with! image.jpeg Just sayin' Haha is that V'Ger? Love it!! Bakerman
I want one for my home! Oculus version of course, I find it a fascinating new concept for 2D gaming, not silly to me at all. After all, we are talking life-size here, and no need for a huge room for my projector to display in life-size, plus it's more immersive than just one life-size screen. Of course the NES wouldn't be my system of choice, but I might well suddenly become a fan of NES if I had 4 walls to play it on! "Slugs, he created slugs?...Is this not the work of a complete incompetent? I would have started with Lasers, 8 o'clock, day one."-Evil (Time Bandits) "...burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me..."-theme song (Firefly) "I try to respect him, I really, really do, but he's just such a Smeg-head."-Lister (about Rimmer, Red Dwarf)
