It came in, and it was literally a big surprise in small form.

and a Lost Ark Videogames Coin Pouch!

Thanks, you guys! (Now I just need a system, and I'll be good. xD) What a generous Gift tho. I love this Forum so much. Not just because the prizes......because of all the friendly interaction and cool Topics. I've learned more about the past here then I do on YouTube, or hell, even "Did You Know Gaming". So thanks. I'm intellectually aroused. O crap, better stop right there, people are gonna' get the wrong idea hahaha! See ya, and thanks Professor. I wasn't expecting this.

Wow, everything you're all saying is just over the top fantastic. All of you really seem to "get" what we're doing here in making the forums a friendly place filled with fun and games. I'm profoundly happy that the giving spirit of the forums here is appreciated as something really special! We're going to do everything we can to make sure it will always stay that way. What a great group of people that have turned out as the core of this community. I'm so grateful for this, I can't begin to tell you.

Very true greenween! I love coming here and reading what everyone is saying. Really cool group of people, the most selfless and giving i've seen in an online Atari group.

Got the 7800 out today to try out those prizes.  Man, that new joystick is awesome.  So responsive and perfect.  I love it.  Thank you!!!

You're totally welcome @RickR! Those Joysticks are a great prize. Justin has stacks of them for that very reason, and we'll be giving more away in the future for sure. With the exception of the 5200 and Jag, that joystick works on most every classic Atari console and computer ever made! So it's a no-brainer for a giveaway that everyone can enjoy.

The gaming experience boils down to a TV screen on one end, and a controller at the other. How you interface with the game is one of the most important aspects of gaming. Everyone's joysticks are probably 30+ years old now and aging, so having a crisp responsive new joystick really improves that "Atari Experience" that we all love so much!

So anyway, that's why we chose to give out new joysticks and why it'll be a prize we give out often.

Nice! Hey justin, way to go on this forum. Reminds me of the attitude of atarians back in the 80's.

=)

That's the attitude we love! There's definitely a positive, giving culture here in the forums. That's what we're trying to cultivate anyway. We want this place to be a haven.

@kjmann I think you stumbled upon what inspired this website. There's a commonality among all of us. It's an experience. How it felt when you were a kid and fired up your Atari after a long day of school, or what it's like now to be up at 3am in your 80th wave of Space Invaders and all you hear are crickets outside and the blips and beeps of the game. There's a kindness in that. That's our safe place we go to in our minds. It's not filled with trolls and opportunists, and neither should this place. This place was designed around "that place." There's a list of criteria and high standards this site must live up to in perpetuity and the moment one of those criterion falls out of whack there will be a course correction.

@greenween Right on! You worded that so well. It's important that we build this place around the idea of a wonderful friendly place filled with like minded people. Spread the word - but only to the right people.
