I got this Gemini working.  Cleaned her up and found lots of broken solder points, now she is 100%

Sexy beast!    One day I'll trade in my Jr for a gemeni.   I just love the sleek look.

Amazing things about the Gemini:

  • It's small.  Just slightly taller than a jr.
  • It's SOLID.  Feels heavy and high quality.
  • The RF output is fantastic.  Looks great on the two I've messed with.

Coleco out-did Atari on this one.

I have one, definitely a sturdy beast as RickR mentioned. Mine looks like crap with a lot of paint chipped off but still works! Still have a box of the controllers I need to clean and evaluate at some point. I like it because I am still amazed Coleco got to produce them.

I bet Atari was just out of their mind angry when they learned about the Gemini (and the Colecovision expansion module).  Ray Kassar probably had his secretary get Legal on the phone -- STAT!

Very nice looking console and bringing her back to life Brian! That's the bad thing about the Geminis from what I heard is the soldering falls apart easily on them.

Love that these get restored instead of tossed.  Great work!  :thumb:
