Over the long road ahead of Clint very kindly putting all these scans up, you'll see the clear path Atari took, knee jerking to what Commodore was doing to start with, dropping existing hardware prices, over-promising on the 'super' hardware waiting in the wings, basically always trying to remain in the media spotlight, promising cutting edge hardware, within price range of average joe and afterwards...media would give it the same report...

Too little...Too late yet again from Atari.

If the STE, Falcon, Panther, Jaguar etc had, hardware wise been exactly what Atari had promised, i wager they'd still of screwed up on the aspect of software support etc.Only have to look at the Lynx fiasco.

By telling developers, ohh we've canned the Panther now, start on Jaguar...a lot of hurt was caused.

The STE hardware was never really all that, even Atari itself never made much fuss about it and it arrived far too late, as you'll see in later mag reports, developers talk of 'soon switching from the ST to the Amiga..'.
