Sadly, I would never experience any of these growing up unless it happened to be at a sleepover with a friend.   My parents were always on too much of a budget to get any of the name brand stuff.   Sometimes we'd get Frosted Flakes or Cheerios, maybe Rice Crispies...but most of the time it was cheapie or nothing!

Shame too because Smurfberry Crunch looks like my cup o' tea!

As soon as I moved out (shortly after I turned 18) I bought all the kid cereal I wasn't ever allowed to get before!

That's the one thing I remember about moving into a dorm in college.  The huge row of fishbowls full of different cereals in the cafeteria.  I assure you, I tried them all.

I don't remember the E.T. cereal.  I do remember the Mario and Zelda cereal.  I do remember the Pac-Man cereal as Mom always grabbed that one on grocery store visits.

I definetley remembered eating the Nintendo cereal a lot back in 1989-1990. I especially liked the commercial jingle for it.

I remember begging my dad to buy the Nerds cereal with the two different flavors. He finally did and I hated it! Lol I think that was the last time he ever let me talk him into buying and if those gimmicky cerreals.

Awesome! I remember the Nintendo cereal but not sure if we ever had it, just know I saw it. I don't know why E.T. cereal isn't still available on the shelves after all these years ;-) but I would definitely go out and buy some haha
