The black gunk is conductive grease that dries up and becomes non conductive over time.

Happy Atari Day! Justin's work inspired me to make some more Atari animated gifs, of which there are far too few on the internet.

P.S. Cool photos, Storm! How are the paddles doing now?

Good job StormSurge!!  I knew you could.  And nice pictures.

I don't know if you have "AstroBlast", but if you do, try that one with paddles.

YES!  And it is SPECTACULAR.  You'll look at the Intellivision version with disdain once you try it.  Take THAT George Pimple-ton.

Thank You!  However, I had a set back this weekend, so it looks like its gonna be a 7800 video.

Still Atari. And The Atari.io button will make an appearance!

AF, believe me when I tell you that if I can do it, you can do it. I have ZERO technical skills. I'm the least handy person you will ever meet. You'll breeze through it.

This should be the benchmark for any DIY projects on here. "Can StormSurge do this?" If yes, it's SIMPLE. If no, it still may be easy for 90% of you but not for SS.

Don't be too hard on yourself!  It takes guts to even try.  You got my respect for trying.  And a little extra for succeeding.

I had nothing to lose. They weren't working. You guys gave me the confidence that I could pull it off & I did! It was super, super easy.
