Plan to use this thread to get up any/all Misc looks at Lynx hardware etc from UK Press..again not really looking to plaster up game reviews.

Do find it odd it's been claimed Jack Tramiel was 'gone' from Atari as it were by time of Lynx, you can find quotes by him easily enough.....

Few more inc news of yet another price drop for the Lynx.

Recently trolled on YT by supposed Lynx expert who claimed Atari made money off Lynx, even though Atari themselves been very public in stating the exact opposite and because they could never get the LCD Screen suppliers to reduce prices, they couldn't bring Lynx out at price they wanted to make money off it.

then having to reduce RRP time and time again, yet not being able to get key components cheaper, must have increased the loss per unit, even further.

Few more.

GTW have confirmed Strider 2 was started, they've been chatting to coder, have lead on second source.

As for Martin Hooley, Imagitec claiming as well as Viking Child (meh) company had many other Lynx titles underway..LMAO, typical Imagitec response....

Build the hype, don't mention the previous 7800 titles you failed to deliver (cough, Ramparts, Steel Talons and Toki etc)...

Not only did Viking Child never get the planned 2nd and 3rd games on any format, but Lynx owners only saw Dino Olympics join Viking Child, Daemonsgate was a no go.

Omagitec went onto pull the same stunt on Jaguar..where were Freelancer 2120 and  Space Junk eh Martin?

Great to say you realised Jaguar CD was a failure, you weren't going to recoup your investment, but Space Junk started life on The falcon, you annouced it for the Sega CD and Atari got fed up with waiting for updates on Jaguar version so removed it from listings.

Freelancer 2120-PC Cd version was lead format, but you happily gave press screens from that, claiming they were Jag CD screens and niether version made it, sure switching from Jag CD to PS1 made sense, more capable platform, but PC Cd version never arrived either.

Another company i personally feel didn't deserve the praise they had in company profile feature in RetroGamer magazine, based purely on fact their output never came close to what was promised.
