I know there is a lot of love for Roadblasters here on Atari I.O and indeed the Lynx and Genesis versions are superb, but a lot of the other home conversions were pretty awful :(

NES, ST, Amiga, C64 etc you name it.

So, what if you only had an ST or Amiga at the time and wanted the same type of gameplay, but were dissapointed with the official conversion?

Well you were pretty much spoilt for choice:

Overlander, Fire and Forget for starters:

Highway Hawks looks the best of the bunch, never tried myself as i was originally an ST owner and it wasn't something i found when i picked an Amiga up.

After coming from the very dissapointing C64 version of Roadblasters, i went and bought the equally dissapointing ST version, which kind of put me off Roadblasters and clones of..on any home micro for life.
