RIP to a great artist !  The work that Basil did for the cover art of Famous Monsters of Filmland in the 1960s and 1970s remains as eye-popping as it did when it was fresh on the newsstand. To say he was influential is nothing short of an understatement.

I was just looking at his collection of artwork and WOW.  I had a lot of these on my wall as a kid.  An incredible body of work.
