I found this old drugstore flyer packed away with Halloween decorations from when I was young. The flyer is dated October 28, 1984 and is from Perry Drug Stores in Rochester, Michigan. Incidentally this would have been the week that the events in Stranger Things 2 takes place. Perry was a prominent drug store chain in the Detroit area from the 1950s through the 1990s and was bought out by Rite Aid in 1995. The flyer was just junk mail that had been mailed to my house that my dad used as packing material to pack away Halloween decorations, and somehow the flyer survived all this time. Pretty cool to flip through here and see everything that was on sale in 1984 and how much it costs. Makes me miss Michigan in the fall. I also made a short video of it which you can watch below, enjoy!

Thank you for sharing!

My family usually went to Arbor Drugs (since assimilated by CVS), but because of the blue color scheme, I thought Perry Drugs was the "cooler" drug store!

So cool to see old Faygo bottles! I never realized they sold boating stuff, but boating was big in Michigan.

I strongly connect drug stores, with buying Topps baseball cards and Garbage Pail Kids, as well as Bazooka Joe boxes of gum.

Also, this add was printed shortly after the Detroit Tiger won their most recent World Series!

It's funny you mention Arbor Drugs! I just saw William Schallert on TV and made me think of Arbor Drugs. To me William Schallert will always be "The Arbor Man".
