Brand New Bagman For Colecovision

VectorGamer

Recommended Posts

When the day comes that Collectorvision is paying me and giving me free games I'll rave about all their releases. Until then I'll tell it like it is.

With that Bagman looks and sounds great but the controls are downright horrible. Huge disappointment.

Video will be up Monday.

Time's yours

Alright here it is. I've disabled comments on the video cuz the crap has already started on AtariAge. I'm just saying - I have no axe to grind with CollectorVision. I wanted to rave about this game. I'm just being honest. And as they say, a picture says 1000 words.

Does anyone at CollectorVision test these games before they print them?? They could learn something from AtariAge when it comes to game testing!!!

I'm guessing you will be selling your copy cheap soon......or bury it in the backyard!  "The game that killed CollectorVision!"

Are people giving you crap about this?  Looks pretty obvious there are issues with the controls.

I went over there and read all of the comments.......OMG! They had 4 beta testers!!!! WTF? FOUR????

They are all saying that it works with a 4-way controller instead of the standard 8-way CV controller....... well then put that in the requirements for the game then! DUH!

The "collision with enemies" is horrible!

Hopefully ColectorVision will take the games back and fix them (like they should)... you can tell they rushed this title AND did not beta test it correctly. They could learn something from Albert at AA about this.....since Stay Frosty 2 had a glitch and Albert took back the carts and reissued them with the fix.

All of this from a gamer who just played Bagman for the first time EVER 2 weeks ago on MAME and then saw Vector's video..... I can tell the game is flawed even without owning the cart or a CV!

I went back and forth with this guy on AA who insisted I had some kind of agenda by panning the game.

I assure you my agenda was to record the game play no matter if it was good or bad and grade it. I don't monetize my videos so I'm not pushing views to my channel for the money. I do this for fun and to share my experiences in gaming. I'm also honest. You may not agree with my grades for a particular game just like I don't agree with all of the Video Game Critic's grades. That's just the way it is.

I was told I was exaggerating the flaws of the game by doing slow motion replays. No - I was highlighting these flaws and it's easier to see them replayed at slower speed. I'm presenting evidence to the viewer to back my claims.

Don't forget I paid over $60 with shipping for this game. Don't you think I would've rather raved about this game because it was a gem like their previously released Mario Bros? It didn't work out that way.

TPR and coleco_master both have agenda's too.....they are trying to make money off of the game. And I see they admit that its not sold out or even sold 100 copies.....I wonder why. Wonder how many will return it or just keep the game and not play it due to the bugs in it.

I totally agree with you Vector!

Slow-mo was not needed. As I stated before, I played this game for the first time 2 weeks ago and I noticed the bugs as soon as it happened at regular speed.

$60 is wayyyy too much for a game with bugs in it. Maybe someone could fix the code and re-issue the carts in the near future.

How is TPR involved with this game? I thought he was just a gamer not associated with Collectorvision?

It was the two of them going after Vector....... he might not be with CollectorVision but he is one of the adamant people on AA against Vector.

I just read the thread over there....and THAT'S why I hang out here.  I'd like to think that such behavior would be blocked on this site.

Anyways, VG, as I said above, I thought your video was spot on and honest.  Thanks again for posting it.

I never dipped my toes into that pool, even though I would like to find some a/v modded stuff someday.

There's so many biased reviewers on YouTube these days, I only sub folks that I can tell aren't paid hacks.

@RickR, I think you've touched on one of the reasons the forums were created. Cultivating an environment of openness, fairness, transparency, civility. This was always supposed to be a "different" kind of place. Love for Atari, retro life, good times for all and nothing more.

I second that.

Well said man. I like that way of thinking and I like being part of a community where we can have these kinds of conversations and talk through things as a group. VectorGamer's video probably saved me 60 bucks!
