The Saturday Frights Podcast is a weekly Retro/Horror podcast that takes a look back at classic horror movies and television shows of yesteryear, and is hosted by The Retroist's Vic Sage and his loyal sidekick The Projectionist. This week's episode is about the 1995 John Carpenter classic “In the Mouth of Madness”, written by Michael De Luca and starring Sam Neill, Julie Carmen, Jürgen Prochnow, David Warner and Charlton Heston.

Informally, the film is the third installment in what John Carpenter calls his "Apocalypse Trilogy" preceded by "The Thing" and "Prince of Darkness." The film pays tribute to the work of seminal horror writer H. P. Lovecraft, with many references to his stories and themes. Its title is a play on H. P. Lovecraft's novella, At the Mountains of Madness, and insanity plays as great a role in the film as it does in Lovecraft's fiction.

If you enjoy classic horror movies and television I hope you'll find the time to give the Saturday Frights Podcast a listen. Maybe it will become part of your weekly routine.
