Commodore Is Back, Baby, With a… Smartphone?

Two Italian men have registered the Commodore name and are releasing a new Android-powered smartphone which they are calling the PET, just like the original machine. Here are some photos:

The 4032 was the computer I learned to program on in high school.  I'd love to have one now, but they are impossible to find.

They're trying to do this with Atari Android phones too. If they didn't have an Atari or Commodore logo on them these phones would be a big nothingburger.

ohh.......never heard or seen a "PET" computer....... everyone has heard of the Commodore 64 though

yeah, gimme beige casing with a 64 boot-up screen everytime you turn it on.

I like how there are no pictures of the actual unit functioning or LCD itself. I don't get the shoddy branding of these devices just like when Atari tosses their logo on cheaply manufactured eletronic devices. I just can't.
