2600 Game Idea from 1982 that I had.

Well just for giggles if I may share with you my friends  ;) A memory of comics I used to make as a kid, relating to videogames I have THIS. This was original drawn by me I think around 1982 or earlier making me 14 or younger. It was an AD for one of my home made comic books. The idea was for an ATARI 2600 game called "School Escape", in it you try to get my friend GORD to school without him running into any diversions, he liked to skip school a LOT LOL!

To clarify what you see here - Gord coming out of his house (Clearly his house with the big G on it lol) and the school is on the bottom. Between him and the school are - I THINK an Ice Cream Shop, a Comic Store, not sure what the thing is the middle is and I think one f his friends running towards him and lastly a transit vehicle he would often hop on and go downtown instead of school

I have not drawn in years but I use to draw and doodle a lot in early 80's high school and prior. Stupidly, I did not keep much but a few years ago a couple friends surprised me with copies they kept over the years. I would like to share with you. Much of it was done by me at around 14 years old (some a little earlier or later) silly comics, portraits of girls I had a crush on, doodles on folders and stuff that only really meant anything to me, my friends and stuff we were into but it was fun so here is a link to the album for you, It's on FACEBOOK but the link supposedly works for anyone whether or not you have a Facebook account.

Dude that is AWESOME! First it's just an awesome drawing and secondly it's so awesome that this is original from that era and that you still have it! Your Gord game reminds me a lot of ET. I don't mean that in a bad way. Gord's house looks like Elliott's house and running your man around the screen reminds me of ET with cars. I looked at the rest of your art too, it's great. It's cool to see members share this stuff with the rest of us in the forums.

I would not doubt E.T. was the inspiration lol, I for one loved the movie and the game was my most cherished cart back in the day oddly enough. Thanks. As I mentioned I cannot take credit, a couple friends hung onto these works that would have been long gone otherwise, I shared on Facebook and was so surprised the positive response I decided to share here as well.
