As long as you keep the business size and expectations low, it could probably go on for a long time. You think there's still a floppy disk manufacturer? Or VHS tape? I used to work on a guy's computer who boasted to have a HUGE VHS tape collection. He had boxes of the SLP VHS tapes that he said couldn't be found anymore. He was also a little touched. I definitely am one to take things with a grain of salt as well as being very sceptical of anything posted on Facebook and thought about not sharing this. I posted figuring people will decide for themselves, I do know that I have certainly dealt with workmates and sadly even some relatives who would actually be this stupid so I don't consider it beyond the realm of possibility. My first thought was "and what exactly would lead you to conclude the cassette player was a charging dock since no markings or symbols indicates that?" but again having helped people in the past I do know some can be really dense and certainly there are some youth out of touch with older tech on top of not being tech savvy to begin with. Likely fake but still amusing. Still have some tapes from the 70s (very few) but they sadly keep their aural secrets within stretched-out reels. WIsh undiscovered scanning tech can eventually repair these poor items. And yeah, I would actually believe modern folks would confuse tape machines for iPod players. I dunno if it says more about my fogey cynicism or about this gen's detachement from the electronic origins of their daily toys? ...eh, then again, with the automated wizardry at their disposal, I don't blame 'em for keeping their eyes forward.
