This story was so insane because it was so believable. Sega Genesis + Georgia + Pawn Shop = Crystal Meth.

In a pawn shop in Moultrie, GA last week, a man attempted to sell a Sega Genesis. Whether or not the Genesis functioned became beside the point when employees of the pawn shop found crystal meth inside the game cartridge slot.

Normally the place for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 or Streets of Rage, the cartridge slot full of crystal meth informed authorities enough to arrest seller Jared Fournier. Fournier was then taken to Colquitt County Jail for processing on the charge of possession of methamphetamine.

The store “American Pawn” discovered the illegal drug and employees proceeded to call the police. A local Georgia news station WALB News 10 reported on this story, the news station cannot confirm or deny if the Sega Genesis worked.

Actually,there was a slight mistake.

They didn't find crystal meth, but rather a copy of Crystals Pony Tale.

However, this still warranted notifying the authorities.
