  1. Today
  2. Fred Quimby is the developer behind the Hokey. You also know him as Batari over at AtariAge. Thus far he has only sent a few of his new Hokey chips to Al to be tested with 7800 pokey games. Al hasn't reported on that testing yet. But from what Fred has stated, the Hokey won't be available to everyone until sometime in September currently. But apparently it can be programmed for lots of stuff like the dual pokey modes and Covox digital PCM sampling that the PokeyMax is also able to do. I asked about getting one to test in the Dragon Fly cart but he stated he was only allowing the few he has right now to be used for testing and for his own Concerto carts project for now.
  3. @socrates63 Yep, I noticed that Michael was the fighter on the cover. That was funny. 🙂 That game is an improvement over the first one. I like it. 🙂
  4. This was fun! Congrats to @Justin for that incredible score!
  5. @TrekMD how do you like the Kung Fu game from GDG? I didn't notice it at first when Michael posted the box photo, but he put himself on the cover 😂 Here's my latest pick-up--an addition to my small Super Famicom collection.
  6. Look at that photo finish for 2️⃣ 3️⃣ 4️⃣ 🐎 This game was very fun, and it brought me back to the 80s arcade. I think this was the first time that I played an NES game.

  9. Congratulations Everybody! Congratulations everybody an incredible showing! The original Mario Bros. on NES is as legendary a game as they come, and I hope everybody had fun playing this round! I secured the top spot on in our Final Standings for this Squad Challenge with my score of 823,560 points. I honestly didn't think much of my score at the time. I thought it would be a good score but I was not expecting to win. I remember being anxious about getting close to rolling the score past one million points and not capturing it on video. I will share my score to the Scoreboard, and I think I will revisit this game to achieve a higher score and capture it on video. @socrates63 took 2nd Place with a fantastic score of 129,790 points. The legendary @nosweargamer joined us for this Squad Challenge, taking 3rd Place on our Final Standings with a stellar score of 128,280 points! @Gianna came in strong with a 127,510 point game to claim 4th Place. @TrekMD takes 5th Place with 89,800 points, @RadioPoultry is in 6th with 78,010 points, and @RickR rounds out our Final Standings with an impressive 65,870 Points. Tremendous showing, everybody! It's nice to see some familiar faces joining us for this Squad Challenge. As always I'd like to encourage everybody to post your high score on the Scoreboard, and let's make sure this Challenge continues on! As I said above I'll be sharing my score in the Scoreboard, and continuing this challenge to achieve a higher score on video. And a big congratulations to our community for being such a great group to spend time with, I hope everybody had fun playing Mario Bros. on NES! NOTE: Our next High Score Squad Challenge is for the Sega Master System! Be there!
  10. Hey guys, I accepted the offer from @RickR so I guess we'll just have to figure out a time to meet up for the pass-off. I am so pleased these will go to a good home, a good guy, someone who will value them and take care of them.
  11. Yesterday
  12. A closer look at my NES collection.
  13. Sorry to hear about your brother. My condolences. :O(
  14. Wow, those games look pristine! Very nice. Hopefully you find them a good home. I got these this week...
  15. Sure, but I'll not be able to reply until after 6pm. It's my first day back to work since this all happened. It would be nice if you got them, that way I wouldn't have to ship them, and could just meet up with you 1/2 way.
  16. That game is awesome but it ruined my life in several ways. I both love and hate it. But it’s so hard! And I passed up a super game boy to get it and the next day I found a bunch of game boy games in the basement with no game boy!
  17. That is indeed StarTropics, along with the original manual, but unfortunately it did not come with the original letter that you're supposed to dip in water.
  18. Thanks for keeping the three Marios in chronological order! Is that Startropics I see?
  19. Oh geez. I’m so sorry for your loss. My condolences.
  20. Those are in fantastic condition. I have a few O2 boxes myself. I see boxed games usually go for five or ten bucks.
  21. Mr. raz0red has cooked up an Atari 7800 emulator so easy to use, that I put it permanently on the front page of my website. Emulation is never perfect, but you can experience so many homebrews and works in progress by simply clicking a few mouse clicks. So fun. Try to beat my scores on the boards! My initials are VIN. http://www.atari7800forever.com

  23. Those are pristine. Thanks for sharing. I'm interested, but I'm not sure what they are worth. May I PM you tomorrow?
  24. Sadly I picked these 16 up while going through some of my brothers things today. Since I no longer have a Odyssey 2 they'll need a good home. They all have the original manuals and are in great shape. They've been in a closet in an airconditioned home since new. From the paper work surrounding the items, they've been stored since at least 1983. Any idea on what they would be worth as a package deal?
  25. I printed out the 3D case for the ikonsgr adapter using the files provided by user Gonzo952 over at AtariAge: https://atariage.com/forums/topic/311118-ikonsgrs-5200-adapter-3d-printed-case/?tab=comments#comment-4628746 It turned out well and makes the thing feel much less fragile. And it was a fun little project.
  26. Very nicely done. It looks great.
