  1. 51,580. Managed to get through the first course without losing any lives! Then quickly lost them when I got to a couple tricky spots I wasn't very experienced with. I used to play the Apple II version of this game pretty often many, many years ago. The one signicant feature of that version that is absent here were the moon plant obstacles. This version is smoother, though. I'm surprised by just how much activity can occur on the screen at once!

  2. 48,020. I'm pretty sure I could never do this well again. There's a series of jumps that I must of lost 3 lives on.

  4. Closing in on 40,000 points. Wish I had more time to play this. Great scores everyone, we're really pushing this game.

  5. Dang, @RadioPoultry, great score! I was hoping I wouldn't have to play anymore, but I will make another attempt!

  6. A schnook hits the road and shows a rather…annoying side of himself in chapter 23 of this ongoing as-read-by-the-author pseudo-book in podcast form. (But in the actual episode, he refers to himself in the first person.) A Schnook on the Road – It’s road trip season! 7. This also brings us to Universal 2 binaries, and they will work with both Intel and ARM at the same time. I was researching this on Apple's site.

  8. Rosetta 2 offers backwards compatibility with Intel-based Apple apps.

  9. They have Rosetta 2 emulation for the ARM-based Macs. I don't know if it will have 32-bit compatibility or not. Unfortunately, probably not.

    Apple Switching from Intel

Wonder how much software will be rendered obsolete from this upgrade. I'm not even upgrading my MBP to Catalina because there are several 32-bit apps that I use religiously that aren't available in 64-bit versions. 😕

    Must have Lynx games?

I have Kung Food, but it is difficult and challenging to play. Crazy premise for a game, though. I would collect Hard Drivin' just for the sake of collecting it. I had it once, along with a Lynx I system. It was robbed from me by a "friend" of my brother's. I put the word "friend" in quotation marks because I am being sarcastic about him.

    Must have Lynx games?

Yeah. I knew it was over seventy games released for the Lynx, but I did not know exactly how many were released minus the homebrew games. Thanks. That gives me something to shoot for in my own collection for the Lynx. :O)

  18. Celebrated Atari Day this weekend by playing Moon Patrol for the first time! I thought this was a really good game for the 2600. I had a lot of fun playing this and Moon Patrol seems to be popular with you guys! 😄 This is my score for my first time playing. I'll try to post a better score before the squad challenge is over. Good luck everyone 😄 My high score: 5600

  19. This feels more like luck, but it is a slight improvement. It seems like once you get past the tanks your score starts building rapidly. I got to the rocket stage and managed to jump it once on this run

  20. I'm having fun no matter what. Atari games are always fun. Just like the 5200; you gotta learn to crawl before you learn to walk. Even with all of its faults the 5200 version of Moon Patrol is a LOT easier than the 2600 version.
