Congratulations Sabertooth! Congratulations to @Sabertooth for becoming our Wrecking Crew Champion! I hope everyone here had a great time discovering Wrecking Crew on NES and how to win at this game. I've been curious about Wrecking Crew for years, but never understood the game until now. It just felt like a smash-em-up game of destruction. No jump, no Princess, no Donkey Kong, why are we even here? Turns out it's an amazing puzzle-platformer with some charm. I played halfway through this challenge before I even figured out how the doors worked! I'm glad this game turned out to be a hit. We had another huge turnout for this Challenge, you guys have been showing up lately and it's been a lot of fun to play with all of you here! @Sabertooth is our champion this challenge, taking the top spot on the scoreboard at 1st Place with 167,300 points. @RickR brought his A-Game and wasn't far behind to claim 2nd Place on the scoreboard with 152,300 Points. @btbfilms76 took a deep dive into Wrecking Crew scoring an impressive 141,600 points to take 3rd Place. @Dinobot711 @RadioPoultry @HDN @nosweargamer @Justin @James Campbell Jr. @MaliciousCarp @Atari Creep @TrekMD @Atari 5200 Guy @LinkYoungPS and @Gianna round out the board all with their best scores! Congratulations to @Sabertooth for his big win, and as always I'd like to encourage Sabertooth to post his new high score on the Scoreboard, and let's make sure this Challenge continues on! Also, to keep a running list of who's entered into BTB's Atari 7800 Paddle Controllers Giveaway Contest, so far the following Members have asked to be entered and are permanently enrolled through the rest of the contest: @RickR @Sabertooth @nosweargamer @TrekMD @socrates63. If you don't see your name listed and would like to enter to win the pair of 7800 Paddle Controllers, be sure to say "Hey BTB, enter me to win!" when posting your next high score! NOTE: Our next High Score Squad Challenge will be for the Atari 2600! Be there!

Tomorrow I go back to try to get stuff I left behind. I know it won't be easy but I've had a few days and some advice to think things through. Wish me luck. I will report back to let everyone know how it went. I got this.

I'll give this one a shot; someone has to finish last lol. (I'm playing Space Taxi for the EverythingC64 High Score monthly challenge & that one also ends on 10/31. Talk about a palate cleanser!)

Make sure to do difficulty "A". The game is pretty wild!

Cool! I'm going to try to join. It's probably going to be whatever score I can get after a few minutes playing but, at least, I'll join. 🙂

Squad Challenge - Wrecking Crew (NES)

Yeah! I agree with you guys. This was a fun one, and great to see so much participation. Nice job @Sabertooth! I tried, but couldn't get a higher score. When I first played this game, I didn't think too much of it. But once I realized it was a puzzle game, it totally was an "Aha!" moment that made the game a lot of fun.

I haven't played Demon Attack in years. Personally, I'm more of a Phoenix guy. The only Imagic cart I own is Star Voyager, so I'll need to emulate it. If I get my Wii back before the squad challenge is over, I'll make sure to give it a go. Then again, I'm not sure if I can get it back before the challenge is over. It's been gone for a month and no sign of getting it back anytime soon.

    Going Through A Life Change

Hey guys. Just a bit of a heads up and also a bit of me trying to release a bit of stress. I made a huge decision today that I never wanted to happen but felt like I had no choice. I left my wife. Whether it was right or wrong i am not sure so I am still battling with myself but I simply couldn't deal with the verbal abuse, constantly being yelled at, and once her brother and two boys arrived in my area I got nothing but constant threats of being beat and not being able to do anything about it. I felt I was being mentally and emotionally beat down and no way to escape. I also felt I was being controlled because there was not a whole lot I was allowed to do, to be me. Today I made my escape. I grabbed what I could quietly and snuck out the door while she took a nap. I didn't look back. Scared? That would be an understatement. But I have a friend here I escaped to who also knew my wife and has told me they didn't know how I lasted 11 years. I'm not so sure myself and I don't understand how treating someone who is doing everything in their power to keep a love family member well. I know I did wrong sometimes as well but not the point of being treated poorly. I've had meltdowns for most of the day and I feel I will have more later. But tomorrow is a new day and hopefully things will start to feel better. The things my friends have said to me that it wasn't me and that I was a good man to do everything I did because not a lot of people would have everything I did for her. That did kind of eased my mind but I also know that I have a long road ahead of me. But I will survive, always have. I still have my car, I managed to grab my Lynx and its games, XEGS, 2600 Junior, Jaguar, STe, Solar Star, the motherboard RickR gifted me with its two hard drives, couple of clothes, important papers in two reusable shopping bags and headed out the door. But I couldn't grab anything else. I left behind a lot of stuff but I know I'm in a better place working on a better life. It's going to take me a while to be myself again but I got this. I know I do and I know my family in heaven is watching over me, guiding me. I know I've got my friends here as well to help make the days get easier. On a funny note...I was cleaning out my trunk today after I got to my friend's house and had my bag of stuff to bring indoors sitting beside me one side and another bag full of trash on the other side of me. As a precaution I put my car keys in the bag to bring in. While putting things back in my trunk I mixed the bags up. Yep, my key are in my trunk now. So, tomorrow I have to dismantle my back seat to try to get my keys out the trunk. Yea...I'm doing good.

    Do any of you play?

My sister has been teaching herself to play piano. She watches Synthesia videos on YouTube to teach herself how to play virtually anything she wants. She just pulls up a video on her tablet (mostly Zelda and Animal Crossing stuff) and puts that above the keys where sheet music usually goes. The videos themselves remind me a lot of Guitar Hero but for pianos. I have tried using them, but my brain can't concentrate on so much at once. That's why I like playing the guitar; all I have to do is remember the chords.

Can the XE systems be reinforced by re-soldering the components so they have a stronger hold in the sockets. I didn't know that about the XE/GS. Interesting.

Thanks, but I think I'm OK. I'm not a huge fan of Demon Attack or the Imagic catalog in general. I know, I know, kill me if you want. I could never see why everyone loves Imagic so much. Most of their work is just OK at best in my opinion. Then again, I haven't played many of those games in years, so when I get my Wii back I will need to try some of them out again. I always like to retry games that I didn't like before to get a new perspective on them. So anyways, thanks a lot for the offer, @Atari Creep, but I think that I am good for now. You shouldn't go through the hassle and cost of sending me a game that I haven't tried in years and am not sure what my opinion on it is. But is very nice of you to think of doing that. On an unrelated note, my dad used to play Demon Attack a lot back in the day on his Tandy CoCo.

Well there are some 7800s like the 2 I own that can play all the games just fine without issues. But they are both older model 7800s too. The other consoles it moves around depending on what I'm currently playing. Of my modern consoles I can state I prefer my PS4 Pro, but I don't actually game on it that much. But I also enjoy my Dreamcast quite a bit, my Genesis setup (Has been my #1 for some time now), the 5200, the 7800, and PC Gaming.

Some of these levels are hair pullers! I went left on one of the levels when I should have went right. And then I get to one level and that stupid idiot on the other side of me knocks the ladder out from under me, making it where I had to wait for a fire ball to put me out of my misery. Really?

I first discovered this song shortly after Mom passed. I had moved in with my Grandmother and was cleaning out and remodeling her old small workshop that once belonged to my great grandpa. There was an old stack of old vinyl albums with most of them without any sleeves. I asked her about them and she responded that they were mine handed down from my Dad when he passed...they were just forgot about. So I went through them. This one was on an old K-Tel album. So, I setup an all in one stereo, you know the ones that had a record player, 8-track, AM/FM, and played the record while I finished up the workshop. This song was on it and became one of my favorites. There were a bunch of others that were good, too, but this one stuck with me. A real toe tapper. I kept the radio in the workshop and added florescent lighting. I could see! Better than a single light bulb stuck in a corner that shocked you every time the chain was pulled. I'll have to see if I can find those other songs that were on there I liked.

    My New Gaming Setup

Yeah, 95% of my collection was destroyed September 23rd of last year. Only my Switch and 3DS libraries were saved because I was able to easily grab them in time. I've only replaced about 65% so far.
