  1. << THIS MICROPHONE >> I recently got from Amazon surprised the heck out of me. It sounds great (as good as microphones costing much more), but it also came with every accessory I'll ever need. I figured I share my good fortune on getting a good one... CHEAP in case any of you feel like it's time to upgrade as well. Honestly though, I've since take off that big round screen as I've found that if you use the foam cover on the mic itself it's not necessary.

I'm a big commando fan myself. I own both games but I just can't get anywhere in Ikari Warriors. Heck every time I try and play the game these days, as soon as that first tank shows up on the screen, there is a pile of like 5 enemy soldiers to the right of it and the first thing that happens, is one of them tosses a grenade t the tank before I'm even halfway up the screen. Every....single... time. Commando on the other hand I can get quite far in and it is really close to the arcade.

  6. Let's say you didn't have a Nintendo, but you really wanted to play Nintendo games like Super Mario and Zelda! Well, you can't, but you can play similar games! I invite you to think of your own Atari 2600 alternatives to NES games in the replies! Here are a few of mine: Instead of Zelda, play Adventure! Instead of Super Mario Brothers, play Pitfall! Instead of Punch-Out, play Boxing! Instead of Metroid, play Montezuma's Revenge! Instead of Rad Racer, play Fatal Run or Enduro! What are some you can think of?

  10. Today we review ole Bobby D's take on Cinematronics ancient vector game "RIP OFF" WHAT IS HAPPENING OVA HERE? Your wife makes a friggin sweet Nacho Del Grande platter. Her Nachos are so tasty in fact, that you pridefully lay them out for your neighbors to see. Foolish boy. You live in a crappy part of town, but who knew your neighbors were pirates who have a sh*t ton of tanks at their disposal? Text your cooky best friend who lives next door, tell him to grab his tank... because those bastards are coming for your Super Bowl snacks and they hate hatred in their eyes and growling in thei

I dig Commando better, but to do well in Ikari Warriors I just blow up the tanks myself. Many times it kills a bunch of the enemies. Tanks can get you into trouble.

  13. I actually use a combo of two mics in my videos. One of them is very cheap at only $20 and is critical for me as I need my hands free. Wonderful lavaliere mic but as it still requires to be plugged into the side of my camcorder I use for filming, and has a short cord, I pair it up with: The small receiver portion attaches directly to the top of my camcorder accessory connection. The larger part is both a wireless mic and transmitter, but you will see that is has mic inputs on it. So I actually plug my smaller lavaliere mic into that, shove it into my pocket an

Resurrecting a review with the WAY BACK MACHINE from the old site, and polishing it up with all of this lovely 2021 "wokeness" and bitchiness, we dive into the age old question... do you prefer Commando (shirts) or Ikari Warriors (skins) in this vertical scrolling, testosterone slurping, explosion inducing review of IK. 16. Interesting. I do better in on the TI than in emulation... because this old fart does best with a joystick. However, I'll do an emulation run with the TI port of Berzerk, called "Borzork" and link the video here. Give me an hour or two...

  17. I think we might consider a "separate" high score challenge. Not just for TI, but for the various classic 8-bit computers (Atari, C64, TI). I say separate because I think this would be a different audience than the console gamer high score challenge. It might also be fun to do a comparison on the games these three systems have in common. Something like Berzerk, Donkey Kong, Mario Bros, etc.)

  21. If you have the Lynx 2, BennVenn now offers a solderless LCD replacement. I've installed 2 of them now and it is very straightforward upgrade. But regardless of which LCD upgrade you go with, it is critical that the power stage components get refreshed and advise recapping the Lynx as well. The McWill for the Lynx isn't that big a deal to install as I've done quite a few of them as well. There is more stuff to remove but the lynx systems are largely through hole components. But the power stage stuff is SMD but it isn't too bad if you have a decent iron with a chisel tip and patience.

  22. I am thinking about the McWill screen. I did buy one Lynx cheap that has one bad pixel, so I do have one to use. Not sure if I want to send it off or try and do it myself. I am okay with a soldering iron, and have modded a 2600 and 7800, but when you get to surface mounted technology, it can be so much trickier.

I've heard a lot of jabrones, tricks, pimps, skeezers, furries, bad guys, gnomes and dorks say that Rikki & Vikki was one of the most impressive games ever made for the Atari 7800. As a guy that has reviewed 100+ games for the 7800, I'm not easily impressed. Let's see what the Funk thought on his weekend excursion to Misery Land. https://www.atari7800forever.com/rikkiandvikkir.html

  24. I've got a few carts (Where did YOU learn to fly?), but no console. They just never seem to come up for a reasonable price. I'll keep looking though. @BlackCatz40, for sure don't throw those out. I'm sure they can be repaired. There are Atari Jaguar groups on Facebook that you should consider asking.
