  1. I've been at this since 2000. It takes a long time to build a website and nurture a community. It doesn't have to be huge to be great. Glad you guys are all here 😎
  2. I think @Willie! has some good experience with the Big Trak
  3. Meaning, the older, heavier catalogs and some of the magazines begin to spread out at the bottom and fold over, almost as if melting That's one of the ideas I'm looking for, cool ideas for book ends and how effective they are with catalogs and magazines. In the bankers boxes, do you have them stacked as they would be on a bookshelf, stacked flat one on top of another, or stacked with the spine of the catalog facing up so you can see what it is while looking down at the box
  4. Hey guys, Do you have any simple / efficient / creative ideas for storing magazines and catalogs that you want to preserve for a long time? I've been reorganizing my closet and bookshelf, and I'd like some good ideas for how to store old magazines and catalogs. I have a bit of a collection of classic gaming magazines, of course, along with thicker catalogs such as vintage Sears Catalogs, Sears Wish Book, and catalogs from other clothiers. Some of them I would like to display on my bookshelf along with books but before long they begin to collapse. I also don't just want to toss them in a box and warehouse them. I'm curious to hear what ideas you guys have come across and how you guys store your old magazines.
  5. Good luck everybody! I'd love to hear your thoughts on how Enduro Racer compares to Excitebike on the NES, and also how Enduro Racer compares to Hang On also on the SMS

  8. Congratulations Everybody! Congratulations everybody an incredible showing! The original Mario Bros. on NES is as legendary a game as they come, and I hope everybody had fun playing this round! I secured the top spot on in our Final Standings for this Squad Challenge with my score of 823,560 points. I honestly didn't think much of my score at the time. I thought it would be a good score but I was not expecting to win. I remember being anxious about getting close to rolling the score past one million points and not capturing it on video. I will share my score to the Scoreboard, and I think I will revisit this game to achieve a higher score and capture it on video. @socrates63 took 2nd Place with a fantastic score of 129,790 points. The legendary @nosweargamer joined us for this Squad Challenge, taking 3rd Place on our Final Standings with a stellar score of 128,280 points! @Gianna came in strong with a 127,510 point game to claim 4th Place. @TrekMD takes 5th Place with 89,800 points, @RadioPoultry is in 6th with 78,010 points, and @RickR rounds out our Final Standings with an impressive 65,870 Points. Tremendous showing, everybody! It's nice to see some familiar faces joining us for this Squad Challenge. As always I'd like to encourage everybody to post your high score on the Scoreboard, and let's make sure this Challenge continues on! As I said above I'll be sharing my score in the Scoreboard, and continuing this challenge to achieve a higher score on video. And a big congratulations to our community for being such a great group to spend time with, I hope everybody had fun playing Mario Bros. on NES! NOTE: Our next High Score Squad Challenge is for the Sega Master System! Be there!
  9. Here is my best score so far. I'll play again, we'll have to see if I top this. No strategy, just patience and a good run. My High Score: 823,560

More To review detailed rules on how to play, please visit the High Score Squad page here: Message Welcome to our 102nd Squad Challenge, the 2021 Pole Position II Grand Prix! This will be our 4th Annual Pole Position II Grand Prix Event! This year's Grand Prix challenge will run until June 30th, 2021 racing the SUZUKA Track for your best possible score! Suzuka is THE HARDEST TRACK in all of Pole Position! Most of you will not make it to the finish line. Many of you will not even qualify. But strap in, rev your engines, and give it your best shot! Even if you don't finish the game, post your highest score and show off your accomplishment! Pole Position is one of the most iconic arcade games released by Atari and was genre-defining for its time, setting a new standard of what racing gameplay could be like. Pole Position II was included as the pack-in title for the Atari 7800 and is often revered as the first game 7800 owners played on their new game system. For many of us 7800 gamers, Pole Position II was the first video game we ever owned! I have so many wonderful memories of playing Pole Position II at Chuck E. Cheese's with my family, shifting gears and whipping around corners with a cheese stick in my hand and a cup of root beer on the floor under my feet. It also became one of my favorite games to play at home and remains a wonderful memory on the Atari 7800. ROM and Instruction Manual are provided below. Good luck to our Racers!! NOTE: Another fun Squad Challenge Event is coming up on July 1st! Pole_Position_II.pdf Pole_Position_II.a78
