Wario was an a-hole.

Updated Scoreboard! Games now in alphabetical order & categorized by system! Much easier to find!

Got em! Added two unopened Galaxians to my Atari 2600 collection. 😍🔥🔥 Adding something new to your collection always makes it a great day! Galaxian comes with an original DC Comics ashcan included, which spices things up with some added adventure to the Galaxian story, and adds a new dimension of collectability to the game.

I learned about this just a little while ago. Such a loss to the retro gaming community. I did have the opportunity to meet Curt at the last CGE (2014), where he had an XM to show. He was very nice and shared with me about all the surgeries he had undergone up until that time. RIP Curt. My condolences to his family.

I was so shocked to hear the news. Just Friday I was listening to the episode of Into the Vertical Blank that had part 2 of his interview. He's such a dynamic character. On the bright side, he's back together with Milo now; I hope he got a big puppy-hug!

The Atari Community lost a good one. My sympathy to his family and friends.

🎮 I used to dislike the 7800 Control Pad but ever since we started Pole Position II it's been really growing on me

Oh yes, sometimes he asks me if I'd like the little joystick part to be unscrewed. He takes it off super carefully hehe. I like to play with out it on usually!
-
It is a handy thing to do, and it makes sense. It makes the pad more tactile, in a manner of speaking. There is a tutorial on how to use the wires from the innards of a Pro-Line joystick to make a Europad more responsive on this forum site. Now, I am not saying to cannibalize joysticks to improve the Europads. Maybe, if someone had a non-functional Pro-Line, the wires from that controller could be used to fix a Europad. They can get finicky sometimes, I guess. :O)

🤔 Finding that I enjoy James Rolfe as himself far more than AVGN. James & Mike Mondays are fun and his retro movie reviews are excellent.
-
I enjoy him in both capacities. The thing about AVGN that gets overlooked is how great the production values are. It's fun and funny, and I hope most understand AVGN is a character.
The retro movie reviews are outstanding. I totally agree with you. Clearly, those two love and appreciate old movies, and that gives it "genuineness".

Absolutely agree

🤔 If Nintendo wanted to blow people away they should release a new NES game. Real cart, limited run.

You know, a multi-cart would not be a bad idea either. Cater to those that still own the real NES! Cram 30 more games into a single cart and sell it for the price of the Classic NES. I don't think people would complain too much about it. And Nintendo would make a quick buck. There's tons of Famicom games that could finally be released to the American market that supported the NES from the beginning. Call it a "Thank You" to those that supported that machine. It wouldn't hurt Nintendo to do something like that.

Imagine Super Smash Bros Snes.

🙌 The 6:57 mark in this video is why I do what I can to promote the Atari experience:
-
I think I get more rage at Atari games than I do modern games. A lot of it has to do with the fact I've played these games before...I've played them for years...yet I still have trouble spots that I should know better by now. Nope. SPLAT!! Game over. That is what makes Atari so much fun to play and own. It's also what will keep it going for many generations after us.

✴️ FYI: It's totally cool to bump old topics here. As long as you have something to add to the convo!
As long as you have something to add to the convo! I've never understood the issue with bumping an old topic. "Atari" is an old topic. It's okay to have threads that go on for years. I'd rather have one "2600 Pac-Man" or “E.T.” thread than start over every year. If you have something interesting to add to a conversation, everyone is welcome to speak up.

👉 Be sure to take a photo of your Star Fox score before you begin the next leg of your journey! A final score is not displayed at the end of the game when you lose your last life.

🤔 How do you say it?: S’ness or S.N.E.S. I’ve always said “Super NES”

@atarilbc YESS‼️ The "S'ness" thing drives me nuts too! I never once heard that once when Super Nintendo was new or for the first 15 years afterward. It was only when retro gaming became a thing on YouTube that I heard other people say "S'ness" and it was cringe.

Sneeze...just kidding S.N.E.S.

📺 Formally setting up my Sony Trinitron TV stand w/ my 8-Bit systems at the new house. I'll post pics when it's done.

I can't wait to see it!
Let's see that wiring. I'm always interested to see how others set up their gaming systems. Example, here's the RF switchbox I've been using. It does a nice job, but I sure do have a lot less RF systems than I used to. Only two at the moment. At one point, it was maxed out. But a lot of systems sold, some of them had the composite mod, and now...only two.
