    hi Degaselite,

it was a easy fix. most people do not realize the costs involved in the mass production of software. to keep costs down, a few glop's of glue does the trick. so its all about costs.

    hi everyone,

if you want to know why XEGS carts rattle, is because atari used hot glue in at least three to four places, to hold the PCB in the shell firmly and properly. so some of the hot glue comes loose, and that is the rattle you hear.

Video 61 got a reaction from alucardx in The Jag Bar
Right before the launch of the Jaguar, two employees (one was an Atari employee, and one was one of the Tramiel brothers) told me personally that they thought the Jaguar was going to be another 2600.

My reply to them was "We will see. It's all about GAMES."

And I got dead silence on the other end of the phone from them.

He said "What do you mean....?" and I said "You've got to have GAMES. You can brag all you want about it's abilities but in the end it's got to have games."

They would never tell me the actual numbers on any of the games that were sold. I never found that out until Fight For Life. When Fight For Life came out, one of the employees at Atari had called me and told me this was pretty much it and they were going to be done with the Jaguar. Nationwide they only sold 900 Fight For Life carts on it's initial release. My company Video 61 had purchased over 10% of the stock for Fight For Life. I could not believe it!

Hi all. Sorry for my long absence. Short story, I got busy.
Longer story, I was juggling a lot, and in many ways, still am. One thing I did a while back was basically stop using Facebook & AtariAge for the most part, just to help simplify life. Atari I/O was not the plan, is just sorta happened by accident, and that accident turned into a habit.
I'm not saying you'll see me everyday, but I may drop by from time to time and I am still a fan of the I/O.

Video 61 got a reaction from Boris in OPENING UP BOXES OF ATARI CUSTOMER RETURNS
    hi everyone,

i put this in history, because it sorta is. these boxes are a sample of what i received from atari decades ago, at least three plus decades, and i have hundreds such boxes. and we are just getting to them now. you will notice third party software in there. atari explained to me that retailers just looked at the games, as atari games, even if atari did not manufacture them. so they sent most returns to atari, even the ones atari never made.
i asked why didn't atari just send them off to their original manufacturers? atari explained to me it would cost more than the games were worth, so the third parties told atari to do what you will with them. i bought it all. there are thousands and thousands of these games.
