MalakZero reacted to CrossBow in Pong repair
I concur on this. I was looking online at other picstures of the super pong output and it appears that on CRTs it isn't nearly as saturated and blown out on the colors as what is shown above. That said, I did find another picture of the output on an LCD and it was similar to what the OP is getting. So my guess on this is that at least through RF, the signal for the colors is just going overboard on a modern display. Possible this might clear up and look closer to what you get on a CRT if you run it through a VCR and then use the composite output on the VCR to the TV or perhaps get the pong unit composite upgraded. Although that isn't something I'm versed in but I know it can be done.

MalakZero got a reaction from Smell Dawg in Pong repair
Howdy folks, I'm happy to announce that I am now in the Pong owners club 🙂 I found this little guy for $10 at a yard sale, guy said "it worked when I put it in the attic."
Needless to say, it kinda didn't. I managed to fix the paddle jitter with some alcohol and electrical tape, but I'm not sure where to start with fixing this colour issue. Is there a faulty part or could it just be from battery acid corrosion? I'm cracking the unit open this weekend. Any insight is always appreciated!

Try a different Tv like a Crt if possible. They do have weird colors like that but maybe that TV is not liking the signal much.

The super pong units look like that normally? They have the different colors on different sides of the screen like you are showing.

Bringing this thread back to life. Anyone else have an Atari Video Music? I keep it plugged into my hifi setup and use it during our game nights.

MalakZero reacted to Sabertooth in Zip Code Error in Atari VCS Store
For many months, some VCS users have intermittently experienced a "zip code" error that prevents them from making digital store purchases.
According to Atari, their e-commerce provider made some changes on their end that impact the API.
A ClubVCS Twitter/X poll had 27% of respondents experiencing the problem.
Fortunately, there now appears to be a workaround. When asked to enter your zip code first enter two (2) spaces and then your five (5) digit zip code. This should allow you to make your purchase as you normally would

MalakZero got a reaction from nosweargamer in 2020 Tiger Handheld Re-Releases
I liI feel these get a really bad wrap, I had lots of fun with mine. I remember I had Paperboy and Mortal Kombat ....I had Ninja Turtles and a Top Gun LCD game, but those were by Konami. I'm glad these are back in some form and hope they continue to release more...I could use a new Paperboy game since its going for upwards of $100 on ebay =/

MalakZero reacted to nosweargamer in 2020 Tiger Handheld Re-Releases
Recently, Hasbro Gaming re-releasd four Tiger Handheld Games from the 90's: The Little Mermaid, Sonic 3, Transformers G2 & X-Men: Project X.
They retail for $15 and play just like the originals. They seem to be pretty devisive, as some gamers can't stand old LCD gaming style. Me, I'm excited and hope they release another wave with some of my favorites like Baseball, Simons Quest, Double Dragon and Shinobi.
What do you all think? Are there any Tiger handhelds you'd like to see ressurrected? Or should these be left in the past?

MalakZero reacted to StormSurge in First PS3
I had a lot of time to think over the weekend (marathon, raking leaves, etc.) @Atari Creep & this topic popped up from time to time.
You're intimidated by this:
but are okay using this?
🤣
That thing was scary to 7 year-old me & still is today!!

MalakZero reacted to socrates63 in FS: Unofficial/repro Activision patches
If you're interested in getting patches for Activision games that did not have patches, there are two people selling them. Links are below. I've ordered most of the patches offered in the second link. The Bridge patch was posted today, and I ordered it as well.
