Episode 102 has dropped! In this episode, Jim and Sean study the intricacies of the contrapuntal philosophies of the next-generation trends of the upper echelon and how they relate to the hoi polloi's intrapersonal struggle with the id and the superego. Or...was that another episode?? Hmm...well, this episode talks about either that or a couple of old video games called Space Panic and Looping; we don't remember for sure.

A collaboration project with Hagen's Alley Books, Walter Day's Gaming Superstars Volume One is a 100+ page book that will cover the entire first year of trading cards released in the series. The cards will be accompanied by beautiful imagery and stories told by people within the gaming community who were featured on the cards, as well as stories from Walter Day himself.

This book is all about the first year of trading cards from The Walter Day Collection. Not only will the book focus on all of the cards released, but also has stories about Walter Day from those people involved. This is the ultimate tribute to everything Walter Day has accomplished with this series of cards.

Very well stated, kamakazi.  I think a game like Rikki & Vikki demonstrates what the 7800 is capable of if the effort is made to use the system's full capabilities and through expansion with more RAM and hardware in the cartridges.  Here is a video of the game...

The 7800 is a very flexible system.  It's not limited to the processors it has been given (6502, TIA, MARIA, RIOT).  It's memory can be expanded upon through the cartridge as can it's sound abilities.  I'm betting if more time was taken that cartridge slot could also handle an additional CPU to work along side the 6502.  The 7800 is limited only by the imagination and willingness of the person developing for it.  And I also bet that, with a little bit of reworking, the 7800's sound abilities and expansions could handle a different sound processor besides POKEY.
The SNES is an OK system but still suffers from some slowdown issues on some games when too much is going on onscreen at one time...something the 7800 doesn't have a problem with.  The original Top Gear is my favorite.  Spent a lot of hours on that one.

Thanks so much! I am working as quickly as I can to get it out to you guys. :3 The list is ever dwindling. :3
Oh really neat! I would love to see what you could come up with though once you get more time. I know what you mean though. I work full time, go to university full time, and raise my family so I have only a few hours a week to work on the game bleh. At least it is nearing completion. I just have the last few levels and the final boss to complete and it is done!

Plenty of updates, though yes 2 years since the last demo. I was going to release an intermediary demo, but I am within the finish line of finishing the game so I figured let me just push and try to get it out as soon as I can.

    Another update.
Insurance got with Dad today. We're getting $70k for everything.
Well, everything but my collection. Alas, it wasn't factored into the payout, so I'm on my own with rebuilding.
However, the fine folks over at RFGeneration have announced that they're starting a drive to chip in and help out, and I feel so grateful.

My uncle owns one and they are a headache to maintain.  He's spent quite a bit of money fixing it up.  He does take it to car shows and people love seeing them.  He's even added some mods to make it look like Doc Brown's DeLorean.

I'm very sorry for your lose, but I encourage you to see what the policy says. Many policies cover contents to a certain amount, and that could include your game collection. You would most likely have to submit a list, and perhaps itemize value too (I'd recommend pricecharting.com for older stuff). It might take a little work, but it could pay out in the end.
