  1. my earlier videos from podcast that had game of the month I did used a pc tv tuner card. mine was hauppauge as well havent done any game videos in while since took the card out my pc. as for laptops there is external versions that connects to usb to coax
  2. nice haul indeed rick. one of these day I plan to travel to portland to check out prge and have booth for vgs,at least we got ad in program
  3. yes it is available on dvd, saddly I ditched my dvd player for android for my tv and kodi app with video add ons, I did try to look for on kodi its listed, but I think some copyright issues was blocking few sites.
  4. I watched it was a good movie, despite that F bomb was dropped at lot by Dwayne Richards during his segments, VGS'08 was shown early on in the film where they got the arward
  5. I'll try to watch it. heard VGS'08 was shown or mentioned in it(Tim mcvey and walter day was at the that show year getting award)
  6. remember getting my 2600 for xmas in '77 (I got my first 2600 when it came out for xmas, got my 7800 for xmas when it was out, lynx the same way,the jag was the only exception wasn't for xmas, but brought from local atari store on first release in chicago) there was one game I would beat everyone on that was flag capture
  7. Atari jaguar festival issue #1 looking for advertisers see this post http://forums.atari.io/index.php/topic/842-avc-online/?p=18044

  8. shows you how serious they are about the brand unlike how people thought they are just giving thier name out.
  9. and to top of that both RVGS facebook and website are officially dead, I suspect the magazine will soon to follow
  10. looks like the magazine is going come to an end after issue 11
  11. oh ok the way you put it seemed like it was. but yeah the press/media do trend blow things out of hand. no harm no foul ,we good.
  12. What is with the backlash on me, I have no connection with Retro Video Games inc, Mike or anything going on with the system. my credentials as for being a fan-editor goes back to 80's and we was reviewed by arine katz at least 3 times(maybe more) and on top of that we had connections with the Atari Entertainment division,TeleGames and Beyond Games. I do agree that this whole fiasco with RVGS has gotten out of hand, and until there is proof that they have something workable I prob won't support them. as for the magazine that different story, its a good read not they have writers, might let my second year subscription expire though and not renew after that. (not because of RVGS,just because I haven't had time to actually go through the digital issues) If they just followed the slogan that the TV company Zeinith had, they wouldn't be in this mess "The Quality goes in Before the Name goes on"
  13. who didn't see that coming I mean come on if you were well known company and you put your name on a product you would like to see it working as well. Retro video games inc is no zeinith , since the quality didn't go in,before they put the name on
  14. I think the editor of the magazine will prob let mike go as publisher and prob do self publisher can't say the same for game gavel
  15. for the record I only subscribed to digital retro not print for the same reason dragon and atarilbc doesn't, vote with wallet, less expensive then paper and plus less clutter of magazines. as for the system I prob won't put a pledge when they do kickstarter, too much drama with the system.
  16. I try to support any retro gaming magazine/fanzine/website etc.... which all started when Arine katz reviewed fanzines in mags like egm or vg&ce. and when I did my fanzine I continued what he started by reviewing other zines I got. I'm hoping to relaunch my zine again but haven't had people interested in writing
  17. mike is just publisher of Retro, he doesn't have creative control , thats goes to editor and since it began they had 2, I still have my subscription to retro digital haven't most of the issues but its still a great mag
  18. now I'm very skeptical about this. basically anybody can turn their pc into game system and stream to smart tv with a dlna server if they use an emu and another program called kodi to run it through.
  19. I kind of suspected that they pull the product after toy fair to work on a far better proto then what they did at toy fair. I will support them but prob not buy the system
  20. I agree with everybody especially the fact they didn't have the board opened to show developers or investors at toy fair which is the main reason why I'm skeptical If it was me I would have the board exposed showing it off and talk about it
  21. true, but I think the trade shows like ces and toy fair should check possible exhibitors for fakes. as I said I'll support them but not buy the product. until I feel its right. I think mike and the rest of the rvgs team know about the videos people calling the system false. and its only time until they respond to them
  22. so you people are saying that coleco chameleon they showed at the toy fair is a fake. don't you think that the people at a major expo thats not open to public would have checked more into to this? I'm not saying it is or is not. I'm still skeptical until I see it in person or proof of concept . I'll prob pledge something like 10.00 to their kickstarter but not 135 for the system.
  23. super skateboarding is pretty awesome game but you can get lost fast if you don't map everything out
