He sums up my thoughts perfectly: Atari's version of 2600 Pac-Man was pathetic, but I still played it relentlessly and appreciate it today for what it is. If you want to play 2600 Pac-Man, swap it out for Nukey Shay's 8K Pac-Man hack and you won't be disappointed:

Installed the recently "leaked" 🙄 Windows 11 and running it in VMware. Ran a Windows 10 activation script to activate it and that worked fine. Weird stuff.🤷‍♂️

Glad he had a good long life and a long marriage of 67 years! RIP. I enjoyed him even before that great Star Trek role in original Twilight Zone and Outer Limits episodes.

I've been doing 6502 programming on the Atari 8-bit computers since Mac/65 on the 80s. Today its Eclipse/WUDSN/Mads and emulators on linux.

In the later 80s and 90s I was doing computer animation, desktop publishing, and video production on Amigas. Some programming, too, but by then I was working full time, so recreational programming was cut down quite a bit.

I have a full time job managing a group of programmers working on financial processing systems written in C and running on linux. Chances are if you've used a gift card I've made it a happy experience for you. (If it wasn't I can refer you to some competitors )

When I have time I work on random graphics project and games, or port things from other platforms to the Atari 8-bit computers. Various tutorials from Oldskoolcoder and GRay Defender have been my past porting victims.

OMG you guys!  I just got something spectacular.  A really old 12" Sony TV.  From the 1970's.  It's got a wood case!  It needs to be cleaned up.  But boy-o...is there any better way to play Atari than a really old Trinitron?  I'M PUMPED!

After playing yesterday & today for the 1st time in 30+ years, I beat Karateka.

That's it. That's my update lol. I'm going to bed now.

We watched "WarGames" (1983) last night.  It wasn't as dated as I thought it would be.  It has good acting, a story that keeps moving, and some really cool 80's arcade scenes.  Yes, the technology shown is really old (8" floppies!  A phone coupler modem!), but it doesn't distract at all.
