This demo plays Arkanoid creating a new soundtrack every level.
There are some Island sounds that are very relaxing and other interesting musical pieces created, listen to it for a while and see what you think!
You can play any time pushing up and return to demo mode by pushing down, the BW switch changes the musical tempo and increases the speed.
This Atari demo also runs in the Commodore 64 embedded emulator, the SID sounds are very relaxing too but the songs sound completely different when the TIA chiptunes are played through the SID.
I couldn't upload the prg file for the C64 but will share it if support for .prg files are added 🙂

Thanks. Yes someone broke the TIA to SID emulation and deliberately released a non-working version to make the C64 to 2600 project look bad.
That was disappointing but motivated me to focus on improving TIA to SID emulation even more.
I've been sidetracked with sound frequencies and envelopes but will be get back to working on compatibility for bB 2K and 4K games.

Sorry to go partially off topic.  Is this part of your C64 to 2600 project?  I saw your post in other forums saying it got leaked / stolen.  Hope you find a second wind with that project.

Here is a SuperCharger game running on a real Atari and in the emu on the C64:
This game takes advantage of the SuperChargers ability to dynamically change code to rewrite the soundtrack every level.
In the C64 emu the SID sounds even better than the TIA and the graphics are enhanced:

I love the quality and presentation of this guy's videos. 😎
Instead of using emulators, I’m going to show you how these games looked on actual machines. We’ll recreate the same setup and playing environment as you could have back then. This is what this channel is about, less emulation, more real stuff!..
I’ll be using both “bread bin” and C64C models, with an original 1702 display (which was an exceptional one), and the infamous Konix Speed King joystick that leaves your hands sore after playing...
    Early games:
games like Choplifter, Congo Bongo, Donkey Kong, Frogger, Hunchback, Jungle Hunt, Pitfall 1 and 2.
Later games: Arkanoid, Asterix, Barbarian Palace, Barbarian Psygnosis, Captain Blood, Defender of the Crown, Nebulus, R-Type, Silkworm, Solo Flight, The Last Ninja.

    This is fantastic!
I found an old portable TV at e-waste and decided it needed a makeover. Why not turn it into a Commodore SX-64? This was a fun project that included adding a composite mod, fixing a self-induced problem, and loads of cutting, painting, 3D printing, and more.

The Commodore Atari 2600 Cartridge Adapter was Vaporware in 1980 but the R&D looked real:
      Was a prototype produced?
This MADPlanet article from 2011 sheds more light on the mysterious Atari Cardapter suggesting if a prototype was produced it would have had to have been similar to the units produced for the Colecovision, Intellivision and Atari 5200 which were basically an entire Atari 2600 inside an expansion unit.
That's not really an Atari 2600 adaptor and the marketing was misleading. "playing Atari games on the other system with the adapter" really meant adding an Atari console to it; these adapters can be modified to run as a stand alone Atari 2600 clone console.
These Adapters were defended as the only possible way to play Atari on other systems at the time since 1 Mhz target platforms supposedly cannot in any way emulate or run each others programs natively.
Maybe the Game Loader was an Atari adapter that was truly different as described?

This description details Commodore sound and graphics being used to play Atari 2600 games of all different types.
It would be awesome to play Atari 2600 games with a VIC-20 soundscape and graphical skin!
    Fake product to fool investors?
Maybe a fake prototype Cardaptor was presented at CES to lure unsuspecting investors like a mock up made from blinking Christmas tree lights cardboard and paper mache.
No real Adaptors only Knock Offs
It would have been easy to fool Investors at CES because there were no real Atari adapters on the scene just Knock Off Atari 2600 consoles that you plugged into your existing system which marketing called an adaptor, with marketing magic.
I'm working on the real version of the product and Loader described to natively run Atari programs with CBM graphics and SID sound rendition! 🙂
Here's the thread on AtariAge, in the Commodore section. The Loader is running a real Atari program written in BASIC and Assembly with no changes to the BASIC and Assembly code on a stock C64.
CBS RAM and SuperCharger bank switching formats are supported transparently by the Loader and TIA graphics transposed to VIC-II in real time.
Haven't added the sound yet, the SID is a subtractive analog synth like a Moog. Atari TIA to SID sound will be transposed dynamically by the loader in real time on 1 Mhz systems as described by the R&D team for that phat Commodore sound while playing Atari for real, on your Commodore 64.

The Chameleon 64 sounds really cool, I like that it has FPGA cores for the Atari 2600 and the C64.
I am not affected by chip shortages, Gameloader is running Atari 2600 program on an unmodified C64.
This is a software only solution using a soft ANTIC blitter accelerated by the VIC-II.
I have just uploaded a surprising benchmark where it it is outperforming a real Atari 2600.

⑆   On August 15th we celebrate MUTINY INDEPENDENCE DAY with the launch of MUTINY COMMUNITY! You'll see it in the purple navigation menu where chat used to be. Mutiny is an homage to the communities of the early Web, and at a glance gives us a top-down view of our community, emphasizing our grassroots that bring us closer as we once were in the chatroom. Mutiny highlights trades and swaps, Blog discussions, news, chat, High Score Squad, Clubs and so much more. Mutiny includes a classic Yahoo! Search Bar to make surfing the net a breeze, and Swapmeet aggregates recent topics from For Sale, Wanted, eBay and Trading Post, so you can see at a glance what's up for grabs. Special attention is given to the Clubs and Squad Challenges, and encourages you to build your own I/O Blog. New YouTube and Podcast posts are displayed in the sidebar. Mutiny evokes the friendly, quirky vibe of the early web, and replaces our chatroom with a living webpage that is in a constant state evolving and cuts deep into to the heart of our community - and I hope you consider making it part of your daily routine as your new homepage for every time you log onto the Web. Let's go!   ⑆

I opened mine up to check, ordinary Jr. I like that the Jr has the RCA jack exposed, I use a shielded coax with an RCA adapter to clean up RF.
My Vader is on another Television setup and I think I broke my six switch removing the hex buffer with solder braid but it may be repairable, damaged it with static from my hands switching controllers. It still looks iconic just sitting there.

Megaoids Atari 7800 Work in Progress for June 29, 2023. Changes were made to indicate how much you have for shields in the upper right corner. Now, a bar represents your shield strength that will flash red when shields get low. We hope to make Megaoids available for the Atari 7800 soon.
I am aware of what is going on with the Atari community. I have seen the announcement, reading posts, and seen the YouTube video. People believing something is happening with copyright infringement. Myself, and Video61 had made efforts to ensure what we are now doing is original and different enough from someone else's work to be called our own. There has not been any real indication that anyone is coming to crack down on those who ported unlicensed games and duplicated intellectual properties within the retro community. I know we are also guilty of making some games and using titles. I was once working with someone that did music for Tempest and Venture. Believed ports make more money. Even made unconfirmed claims that he did talk to the copyright holders and got permission. Found out later, it was a lie. He was demanding and wanted things done his way. So far, no one has anything to us. Even during development of Venture, I was looking at the programming I had already did for these games, and started experimenting to see if I can come up with something original. It did not take much to turn the Venture source into an RPG top down adventure game that eventually became Secretum Labyrinth. I also applied some programming to improve my Jungle Quest project. I hope to release the most recent form of Megaoids available for the 7800 without further delays.

Edit: there is now an update for June 29, 2023.  I decided to apply the new spaceship shape design I have been working on for the last few days, and make it part of the official 7800 version.

Megaoids Under Construction for the Atari 7800. This will be a game released on cartridge from Video 61. It is one of several games I am currently developing for the Atari 7800. This is another port over from the Atari 8-bit and 5200 version. It will be similar, using a shield that you need to recharge by collecting power. Get power ups. After all the asteroids are destroyed, you must go through the galactic gate to go to the next level. 7800 Special features are the rotating animated asteroids and an animated galactic gate.
