EEP! got a reaction from Mr SQL in 2600 sports games--Are they still fun today?
I have more fun with Atari 2600 sports games than modern sports sim games like madden and whatnot.

Here it is. Damn, I got nearly double the score right before recording, ah well. C'est la vie. 46100 is the best I caught

EEP! got a reaction from Justin in Squad Challenge - Joust (Atari 7800)
I got a 7800 emulator running on my Wii. I played a lot of Joust on my 2600. I have the Midway collection that has it on Gamecube and PS2. It's great to know that I suck at the 7800 version just as much as all the other ones.

85,450.
On real hardware with a Telegames Deluxe joystick. This is probably my last attempt before tonight. It's been another fun squad challenge!

Joust (7800, Intermediate): 71,150
Scored on emulator. Grew up playing the Atari computer version and recently played the 2600 which was able to roll. This version is really good but definitely more challenging than the other two like the arcade version. I have a version on the original Xbox (Midway Arcade Treasures) that would like to retry and see how it compares.

I am going to need a TON of practice here. LOL Playing in OpenEMU using a USB controller. Only, do not own this one.

EEP! reacted to socrates63 in The crummy Solaris manual story
I guess I should be appreciating the manuals more 🙂 I've been mostly learning how to play games by watching @nosweargamer's review videos and not reading the manuals. He teaches you how to play a game during the first couple of minutes of the video.
I agree that a game of Solaris' caliber deserved better.

I have a 7800 but only one game. You can guess which one. It isn't Joust. Sounds like I will have to find a way to emulate.
