  1. Watchamacallits are one of my favorites, Wal-Mart sells them. I don't remember Thingamajigs at all.
  2. OMG yes, I love that so much more than the regular. It seems to be available, then not, then available again. I guess it's where you look, the product locator has them available at places like Family Dollar, also pharmacies and supermarkets. But one of the places that's listed as having it is the store where I work. There is no peanut butter Twix there. I go down the candy aisle when I check the doors. I have just learned there is a seasonal gingerbread Twix. Please kill me.
  3. Bar None is probably my favorite. Not sure if they still make the $100,000 Bar, but that one was good too. Hershey's made a bar in the 90s that had mint cookies in it, I could not get enough of that one.
  4. All points taken, thank you for clarifying. I really only know the basic history of the Lynx, so thank you for the info. My only firsthand knowledge of it was that when I started at KayBee in September 1991, we had a few Lynx games left (we never got anymore shipments), and I hadn't heard of it until I saw the games there. That of course didn't stop me from buying one later in the 90s, I really loved some of the games for it (I haven't actually played Blue Lightning, my bad) and I wish I hadn't sold it.
  5. I am super confused here. For a start, this article (and accompanying Atari Age post that it was sourced from), is from March 2015, so not new. Am I reading a different article? I am not getting from it what you guys are. Carl is one of the guys who tried to post honestly about the RGVS/Coleco Chameleon debacles, that's probably what that graphic up there stems from. He got ripped by Mike Kennedy for his troubles I'm not trying to stir the pot, I am genuinely perplexed by this What am I missing?
  6. Wow, that sucks. I totally missed this. Do you know who the employee was? I've seen that blue controller before but I don't know what it is either.
  7. Ooof, I'm way behind as per usual. I have a new episode out today, it's part 1 of episode 126 featuring Battlezone by Atari. Thank you for listening. http://traffic.libsyn.com/2600gamebygamepodcast/126_Part_1_-_Battlezone_by_Atari.mp3
  8. A DS, an iPod, and a book. Yes, a real book. They don't lose their charge.
  9. Don't forget Quest for the Golden Chalice on the Colecovision. It's a bit slow but the music is wonderful.
  10. Well, to nitpick, Superman used some code from Adventure and was released before Adventure was. Thanks for the video Phil, wonderful job as always. Adventure and The Legend of Zelda are my top 2 video games of all time; I started playing Zelda because of Adventure.
  11. I was actually excited for this, but now that I know it's only HD, I'm out unfortunately. I think I have an HD in on my DVD player, but I don't know if that will work. Anyone?
  12. I think I can convince my wife to check this out, it looks interesting.
  13. You should put the Spiker box in the finger hole there to increase the allure.
  14. Thanks for completing my survey guys, Jim Fullerton won the Atari Book! I have a new episode out featuring Lost Luggage and Shark Attack by Apollo. http://traffic.libsyn.com/2600gamebygamepodcast/124_-_Lost_Luggage_and_Shark_Attack_by_Apollo.mp3 There's also a short episode in the feed about my trip to Too Many Games in PA. Thanks for listening everyone.
  15. That is such a cool idea!
  16. How do you like this one Rick? Paul from the Intellivisionaries swears by them, I've never tried one before.
  17. Sweet sticks! That sounds weird. I love that there's so many kinds of db9 joysticks that were interchangeable with so many systems. I guess that's coming back with USB, but I am not familiar. It's too bad these are so hard to find these days. I'm sure I passed up dozens of sticks because I had a bunch of CX40s. I don't have much experience with 3rd party sticks, but I think the Epyx XJ 500 is my favorite of those.
  18. I didn't know that either, dammit. Now I want one.
  19. I have a survey up for my podcast, and I will be choosing an entrant at random to win The Atari Book from Retro Gamer Magazine. Please fill out the survey to help my podcast and to be a winner! Thank you! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LTHSW53
  20. Hi there, I recently did a special episode about my top 10 go-to games when I turn on the 2600. You can thank Mr. Storm Surge for that! I will be doing more top 10s in the future, I have a lot of topics I can do for that. In the episode I also explain the summer episode schedule, which is basically no schedule at all. I have quite a few projects around the house that I want to complete, and I will also be taking a couple of weeks of vacation instead of nickel and diming it. That means the shows will come out when they come out, basically. You may hear more top 10 episodes this summer, especially if there's a long stretch where I don't have a regular episode done. I didn't want to take the whole summer off, because it would be hard or impossible to pick back up in the fall. I know how I operate. As always, thank you so much for listening and for your support. http://traffic.libsyn.com/2600gamebygamepodcast/My_Top_10_Single_Player_Games_and_a_Special_Announcement.mp3
