Well, going through my OG XBOX collection I was glad to see this, most I have are demo discs or copies since both my XBOX consoles are modded but I did see this years ago at a Value Village thrift shop, for just 9.99 Canadian even I could not resist this GTA DOUBLE PACK w/GTA III & VICE CITY in very good condition including manuals. 😎 Pretty sure I got a San Andreas copy in one of my binders as well. 😏

@RickR
Fair, I had PS2 back in the day and so have much more history with it. As well having the entire PS1/PS2 library playable including literally tons of great titles that never made it to Xbox. I love that history and would not change a thing, would have LOVED to have seen many of my favorite PS2 games that never made it over on the OG XBOX for sure. THAT SAID, since I didn't have it back in the day I am hoping to test the Xbox and all the games I pulled out of storage recently. I have two original consoles, they are modded to boot backups and though I do not have many original games I have a number of demo discs as well as a binder of copies so I may hook it up to my trusty old 14 inch CRT and dig in! 😉 -
Oh yeah, that sounds like fun. And I hope you share what you find here.
My own personal experience has been that the same games on XBOX are improved. They look better to me. Examples: the GTA series you have, and any of the Need For Speed series. PS2 can look blocky on those games, but the XBOX is smooth and always looks good.
Still, I have a PS2 out and play it pretty often. XBOX is put away in storage. Why? I think it's because the XBOX feels more fragile. The hard drive might go bad or something. And it's bigger and noisier. My PS2 is the slim model, and I think that's the absolute pinnacle of "small yet functional" design for video games.

Heh I got the original PS2 style and also a slim and I agree, I am still impressed with just how tiny that thing is, fortunately I got the slim when I was doing better financially as I bought it of I guy who did really good work installing modchips. Now, I have not tried it in a while but that little slim PS2 seemed to boot just about any PS1 or PS2 backup I would throw at it, hopefully that is still the case. I really love the look of the PS2 slim silver color model but mine is just that basic black. My other PS2 is the first system I ever "modded" myself, early days of PS2 tricks so I replaced the systems shell with one that had a "fliptop LID", that along with a set of SWAP MAGIC discs allowed me to boot with an original game, stop the disc spinning after the bootloader, life the lid and switch it with a burned game on DVD-r media, close the lid and continue booting the copy 😆 man I thought it just didn't get any better, well until modchips hit but I had no skill to install those myself. Definitely the Xbox is bigger and noisier for sure, I think both are still working fine, they definitely had a graphical boost but to be fair they were literally locked down PC's that I am sure Microsoft were knowing full well they could put slightly better GPU power in it to out do the PS2.
