A friend of mine wanted these images colorized and cleaned up a little for a project, so after doing so, I thought I'd share them here for anyone that might be interested having watched the Little House of the Prairie TV show as a kid.
Very cool, watched a lot of that back in the day and my wife will enjoy these as well.

As incredible as it would have been to see a C64 DEMO like this back in the day it is equally incredible that such demos are still being created to this day! 😲😎

Back in the day or even in my collection years I have never owned one of these or any of the PONG-type consoles before the Atari 2600. An interesting time, anyone own one back in the day or since? 🤔

I do not have one and likely will not but that does not stop me from being fascinated and living through others, as well I am an update nut admittedly, I KNOW SOME SUBSCRIBE TO THE "If it ain't broke don't fix it" mantra but I have always been one to always update, use the latest firmware, use alternate or streamlined firmware that addresses or fixes issues or adds other features etc. In short, I will always be one to "tinker" 🤷♂️😝so with that, I JUST saw this video and thought some of you might lucky 2600+ owners may appreciate this. I know many are aware of the update and some even being early Beta testers however for the average Joe or those who may be wondering about the process this is for you.

This video was for my nephew Stu who gifted me this phone that was not useful to him, wanted to show what I managed with it but decided to make the video public.
😝🤷🏻♂️This Android phone was sadly banned by Google servers, it cannot access the Google Play Store as this particular model was banned by Google servers over licensing issues. Any options to run an alternative ROM such as various open source or Linux flavours have also failed. It is stuck on Android 7. All current means to get root access have failed however, I still find it useful by side-loading APK’s as well as downloading apps from Amazon, open source repositories etc. I like tinkering with it and it’s been useful, even more so since I found this launcher which mimics iOS quite well.!!!!! YOU MIGHT NEED TO CRANK VOLUME AS MY iPAD CAMERA ALWAYS SEEMS TO RECORD LOW LEVEL AUDIO !!!!!!!!!

Okay, this is purely just some silliness and having some fun. 😜I am using a camera app with filter results hopefully somewhat reminiscent of how images might have been displayed on some retro consoles and computers. Perhaps this is how an image might have looked also printed out on Old dot matrix printers. Anyway, this is an app on my old Android 7 phone called Retroboy, I've taken some selfies using various filter options. With each filter option, you can also go to settings and customize results in regards to resolution etc. Shown are samples using filters for c64, Game Boy, Apple computer etc. As to the specifics or the accuracy of the results I cannot say. It's just a toy more than anything but I just love playing around with such things that try to mimic the results we would have had back in the day on our beloved computers in consoles. Again, it's all just for fun and something to do, various similar apps create this effect or they may record video or take images that appear to have been created with an old '80s VHS camera or the low res Game Boy camera or even mimic the effects of cameras from years gone by, of course, we can always do amazing things with our modern phones and cameras but I have more fun I think playing around recreating styles from long past, we didn't have the resolution or the detail or the effects that we can create now of course but that didn't mean that you couldn't be creative and have fun.
