Well today I finally got some time with the modded PS3 and everything went great! Installed and updated LAST OF US and Max Payne 3 onto my modded PS3 Hard drive (Thanks JAKE !) and after watching a tutorial video on Youtube I transferred the game Silent Hill Homecoming (I had previously been playing it in an PS3 emulator) from USB stick to the PS3 HDD, everything running and working great! That will keep me going for sometime! After just starting the first level of Max Payne 3 it is clear I am going to have to get use to the controls, my reflexes are not what they use to be! HERE is a quick picture I took transferring a original retail game to the internal PS3 Hard drive, took like 45 min but I guess copying 40 gb from a BluRay is going to be like that. Well worth the end result though as the game installed and I was even able to update it once it was on the internal drive. Having a modded PS3 definitely rocks !update

Ah good to know, I will keep it in mind. I loved the first two Max Payne games on PC. Yeah I am pretty stoked to get some PS3 gaming time hopefully soon!

Indeed, I had a little black box with composite cable in and out, in from playback VCR and out to recording VCR (audio cable passed directly between machines) known as a Macro-eliminator it was pretty much plug and play and did exactly as described. i would rent all the latest hit movies and copy away. 😎Good times. It was just like the one pictured below.

Currently am using a Geforce 1060 6 gb, no complaints here. Honestly I am an Nvidia guy so cannot say much about ATI. Either way if you go Nvidia you should get a 1050ti minimum, keep in mind whenever a game lists minimum specs that means it will load and run but wont necessarily be that enjoyable / playable so always go above to give yourself a little more headroom, that will save you much frustration. Personally I tend to just go by recommended specs as the "minimum".

We watched and absolutely love the series, it just got better every episode and Jon Favreau has already announced season 2 for fall 2020 woo hoo! Sure there's a lot of fan service and I certainly don't mind that but so many call backs to series characters, honestly this is the most Star Wars feeling thing Disney has put out.

Quick Electronics Bin check on a rainy December day! Forecast called for much snow, yes I am in Canada but here in the Okanagan Valley it's not always cold and snowy so instead seems we are getting rain instead. Well I will go check the bin anyways!

My FIRST PS3 🤔If all goes as planned within a couple weeks I will be getting my first ever PlayStation 3, a slim series model with Custom Firmware even. I had the OG PlayStation and PS2 and loved them but was put off of PS3 launch price and somehow it just slipped by me since. I won this one in a contest though much to my surprise, not sure what I can do with the Jailbreak custom firmware besides load games to hard drive, I've no interest in online play with others or if I need and PSN account to do anything with it or what is risk of messing up the custom firmware etc? All new to me, I watched a video on the process of how it was modded, frankly not hard but many tedious steps involved, now I just want to get the most out of it but it's all new to me. Anyway I intend to research and learn as much as I can, might post back here in a thread for help or suggestions once I have received and set it up.
