This one really shook me to my bones.  52.  That's right in my wheelhouse.

      May he rest in peace.

Too young.  Simply too young.  I think mentally we all expect to live a long life but hearing things like this make you realize you really need to live everyday to the best quality you can.  My heart, prayers, and sympathy go out to Perry's family and friends.

  1. Wired-Up Retro Published on Mar 2, 2019 In today's presentation my guest-host from the Atari 5200 Podcast, Pete Spivak, and I will show you how to use adapters to play your Atari 5200 with a wired PS3 and wired Xbox 360 controller. Also shown is how to easily fix the Atari 5200 when the controllers aren't properly responding to your joystick/pad direction input with a potentiometer adjustment. This is a reliable method to troubleshoot your mother of all consoles. The adapters needed to get the wired PS3 controllers compatible with the Atari 5200 are as follows: 1) a 15 pin PC Gameport controller to 15 pin Atari 5200 adapter. These are obtained by contacting Atariage member, bohoki. He makes these for under $20. 2) An adapter that converts Atari/Amiga/Sega controllers with a 9 pin connector to a 15 pin PC gameport. These are available on Ebay from "Ikonsgr74" and can be obtained for under $20 3) A Tototek Joypad Convertor version MD (for Playstation controller compatibility on the Megadrive/Sega Genesis). These adapters are under $30. 4) A Brook Game Controller Super Convertor for adapting a PS3/PS4 controller to a PS2 console. 5) a USB splitter cable ($12 or less). 6) a powersupply with a USB cord (5Volts) OR a USB Hub with connected power supply. To get the Xbox 360 controllers compatible with the 5200, you'll need one additional adapter. It is the Mayflash Universal Adapter for Xbox360/PS3/PS2/PC USB. These may be found at Amazon. Current price for these on Amazon is $30, but that is subject to change. Mayflash adapters tend to become scarce and go up in price. Special thanks to Emforay for the music in today's episode. 7. Sweet Electronics Recycling find ! But will they work? Was stunned to find these but they sat for hours in sub zero temps so I waited for them to warm up. My usual ramble, feel free to forward to about 4 min 50 sec to see what I found. I hook them up, cross my fingers and ....well check it out. While you are at it be sure to check out the channels I mentioned as well! 8. Yeah "Launch Edition" has become a buzz phrase applied to many classic consoles, it literally means nothing. 😜😂 I have seen it applied to a variety of consoles for no particular reason other then sounding cool. Just do an Ebay search for LAUNCH EDITION and see what I mean 😉
  9. AWESOME ! SWEET SETUP! I like your style!
  10. Beautiful vehicle! I know nothing about cars but I likes what I see! 👍😜😎🍻
  11. Hah well you certainly covered all the ones off the top of my head AND MORE. I've little experience with PCegine titles in general, hopefully, maybe over the next week or so I can get around to trying more games and contribute here. 😍
  12. Our job is done 😜😉
  13. Sorry not in this case (always read full descriptions) on bottom specifically of listing: This AV/RGBS booster does work with US Turbografx 16 since the expansion port pinout are same as PC Engine.
  14. Sadly NOT outside of a miracle, I am no longer actively collecting due to restricted funds and room and the CD based options are not exactly cheap. Can not justify it even if I HAD the funds. Just have to stick with regular TG16 and my Everdrive, considering that has been in a box since about 2012 (see my post elsewhere ) doesn't seem a prioroty. I DID really badly want one for years but it never happened so it is no longer practical. First world problems.
  15. NOPE - because it is a CD based game. TurboEverdrive only loads Card based games / roms. The loading emulation is completely different. Same as the Everdrive for the Sega Genesis, it loads only cartridge games NOT SegaCD games. Basically the TurnboEverdrive will allow you to load the entire Card based library whether TG16 or PCengine (you just flick a switch for the particular console and it will patch roms on the fly to load games designed for the other.
  16. What a beautiful bad ass console and kick ass to boot ! 🍻💕
  17. Found my TG-16 systems in a box! Well, actually seems one has a really nice composite mod ! Forgot, I must have bought off someone on atariage or something. Along with a nice TurboEverdive (bought off StoneAge gamer in 2012! according to my receipt I kept with it, BY GOD TIME IS FLYING 😮 ) I REALLY got to make the time to give it some proper playtime, just not enough time in the day, I swear I tested everything back when I got it and made a video and it has been collecting dust in the box since , I need to correct this. 2 TG-16 consoles and a couple turbopads / power supply / RF cable between them. I even got 2 of those piss poor designed back covers 😜, I DO recall though someone selling a much cheaper mod that basically consisted of literally just a composite stereo AV cable but the other end just slipped over / connected to a few pins of the expansion port on the back of the TG16. There are definitely cheap ghetto options that will give you the same result as the rare expensive official add-on or fancy mod. 😉 Example: If you are handy make the cable yourself : http://www.cgquarterly.com/2010/04/26/building-a-turbografx-16-pc-engine-composite-av-cable/ If not buy a cheap ready made cable. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Composite-A-V-4ft-RCA-Cable-Adapter-for-TurboGrafx-16-SuperGrafx-PC-Engine/223161022034?hash=item33f56ef652:g:MlsAAOSw~XBbqWFr Anyway, this has been a fun distraction and who knows? Might even compel me to play some TG-16 or even make a new video. I am sick with a bad cold or bug right now but this was a fun distraction. 🍻
  18. From the linked site : " https://www.game-tech.us/mods/turbografx-16/ " Composite Video + Stereo: The TG16 already has composite video and stereo outs, but you have to find one of the attachments to have the jacks: TurboBooster, TurboBoosterPlus, or a CD dock station. All of which are rare and expensive. I think a mod can also be done fairly cheaply though not the most fancy looking. I have a couple TG-16 consoles packed away (like most of my collection 😛 ) and I think at least one had a composite mod done. I will post an image if I come across it.
