I am a day late but Sept 1st was Frankenstein Day!
On this day in 1797, author Mary Shelley was born. 21 years later, she published ‘Frankenstein’ anonymously and over 200 years later, we’re still celebrating Shelley and the legendary Frankenstein!

The Universal "Frankenstein" movie starring Boris Karloff is on MeTV tonight. I'll be watching.

It's 10:07 pm, as midnight approaches THIS is the face of man about to turn 56! Muh birthday 🤷♂️😝More than ever I am happy and appreciate the little things, a good meal, a nice drink, indulging in hobbies and appreciating friends and family.
😎 At my age for my birthday I asked only for a nice craft beer to go with a nice dinner. Had steak and mushrooms for dinner and got 3 cool beers😆 don’t drink much these days but it’s a nice surprise on my birthday and a treat. And for a snack one damn hot Pepperoni stick!

Jack Sheldon, jazz legend and 'Schoolhouse Rock!' singer, dies at 88 😥 RIP https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/01/entertainment/jack-sheldon-dead/index.html?fbclid=IwAR0nBJm-YXbOITKMt-xXZDuXkO_IejJDEKNm2x4494TZ07zff5IajgmL_JE

Just a PSA for TG16 owners: posting this from elsewhere but this is not the first I have heard of this lately. Take your chip games out of their plastic sleeves. The sleeves are starting to melt/rot, ruining the games they are supposed to protect. I recently got two sealed nos games for my brother, only to discover the carts were ruined due to the rotting sleeves. The same likely applies for Sega Card games for the SG-1000 & SMS.
-
I suspect HuCards could be cleaned up and made functional again but best to avoid this altogether. I’ve upgraded my HuCards with brand new plastic sleeves available from PCE Works: https://pceworks.wordpress.com/2018/05/25/hucard-sleeves/

True story: My wife invited family over on Monday (it was a holiday). I made a face. She said "Why the face?" Me: "They never leave."

Thanks guys! I know some think UGH FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS DUDE 🙄 but when you are one that only has guests like maybe a couple times a year and you are an extreme INTROVERT with anxiety as well, well I know some of you can relate. I'll get through it and I will appear happy and jovial and I will be relived and so happy when they leave as well. 🤷♂️
literally me (IN MY HEAD) when they leave 😆

My wife and I drove to the beach just for the day yesterday. Our goal was to relax and avoid people as much as possible, and we succeeded. We packed a picnic lunch, found a nice picnic table by the beach and had a wonderful time. We went to a more secluded location where we knew there wouldn't be crowds. Interestingly, we drove by the most popular beach in Oregon and it was very crowded.
Today's plan is to be at home and try to stay out of any drama or trouble of any kind. Relaxing is important!

Just finished my scheduled blood test every three months for diabetes monitoring, everything went well and just waiting around here at the mall for my ride so just killing some time. 🙃

just got a nice screen protector for my iPad mini. After taking about 40 min to assure no air bubbles or dust were present I managed to apply it, very pleased with result. Best of all with the stylus has a little drag now and matte finish so not so smooth like on glass, feels more like paper. Tested to make sure, hey I’m no pro but it’s honest art at least 😛to be fair I used the simplest drawing program, no layers or magnification, literally the same as drawing with colored pencils so I am pleased. At least I can make something without a reference. 🤷🏼♂️
My take on HULK.

Loving the new site the more I use it. In my video game art thread I noticed how easy it is to upload multiple images /attachments now. Starting to really see the benefits! Great work JUSTIN and all involved! Atari. io is better than ever! 🍻😘

THANK YOU ROB!! That means so much coming from you. We're very fortunate to have you as part of the forums. I'm glad you like it! We're all averse to change in some way. I think the more you get used to the new site though the more you'll love it. Uploading is better, personal profiles are really cool, member blogs look awesome, and the "Topics" box on the top right shows shows topics with new unread content, not just "new" topics. This feels like a big leap ahead! 🕹️

THANK YOU!! I hope it never stops impressing you. It really has turned out to be a great site. Just takes a little getting used to.

Yes Sir, specifically "Chocolate Spiced Rye Whisky" - Here is the blurb on it
Often, Canadian bootleggers would blend, age and transport Whisky in used cocoa barrels — after all Canada is famous for having invented the world’s first wrapped chocolate bar! The leftover cocoa husks would infuse the smooth rye with rich, warm chocolate flavours, creating something unique and delicious.
And a nice couple drinks that can be made with it (though I tend to drink straight up)

MERRY CHRISTMAS - Sure I have posted before but it just came up in Facebook memories even though it's obviously much older 😆so seemed fitting to share again today since it is one of the few good childhood memories, believe me I was VERY happy just getting these at the time - That year when I got Coleco Galaxian and Pac Man mini arcades. 😆😎🕹️Also this image is so of it's time with the huge cabinet TV all the brown and gaudy decorations. Still fond memories for me though.

My FIRST PS3 🤔If all goes as planned within a couple weeks I will be getting my first ever PlayStation 3, a slim series model with Custom Firmware even. I had the OG PlayStation and PS2 and loved them but was put off of PS3 launch price and somehow it just slipped by me since. I won this one in a contest though much to my surprise, not sure what I can do with the Jailbreak custom firmware besides load games to hard drive, I've no interest in online play with others or if I need and PSN account to do anything with it or what is risk of messing up the custom firmware etc? All new to me, I watched a video on the process of how it was modded, frankly not hard but many tedious steps involved, now I just want to get the most out of it but it's all new to me. Anyway I intend to research and learn as much as I can, might post back here in a thread for help or suggestions once I have received and set it up.
