That's pretty amazing, I only recently learned about this and not sure how to go about picking it up but it seems to be out of stock already and going for a hefty price on eBay but it's definitely something I want to pickup and add to the Art of Atari books.

I generally don't think of these as "classic" computers, but both are over 20 years old. For design alone I'd like to nominate these bastards:

That's really sweet!  I'm on the hunt for a 65XE myself. I like my XEGS but it can be cumbersome to setup sometimes just for a few minutes of play time.  I also need to work on my A8 cart collection.  I have very few but I do use an SIO2SD device.  Its nice.  Cool to see new ones are still out there.

@CrossBow Want to say I had checked but since the price was almost double, I didn't mind waiting.

Unfortunately I never managed to pick up a brand new 7800 during the 90s. But it's never too late 😉

Thanks so much @Video 61 for making these available and selling me a set! Oddly I find that I dont' have a single Pro-Line stick lol but I'll have to order one of those somewhere someday. Hopefully you'll get another 7800 Trak Ball in stock... think my 78 controls will be complete after that!

I have waited countless years for this thing to finally arrive! (I think SainT started on it sometime in 2016?)
Picked it up as a development tool, it'll be cool to see what can be done with unlimited space!

Got this incredible book and record about the history of Pac-Man. This is probably the best thing I’ll get this year and it’s only February.

@Scott Stilphen Yeah, I hadn't meant to imply or post that the black painted XEGS was at all related to the Super XE, just used it for visual to match the CX78 in color (even though that's not truly black even under light)
I forgot about the Red light gun, that thing looked amazing! Really too bad Atari decided to change the color over to match the grey XE system.
About the poster, I don't remember seeing it so I'm guessing that's it, thanks for sharing! Interesting to see the help button on the keyboard is blue on the XEGS.
I wouldn't say the Mirai is a complete mystery, though I suppose it's better to say that since it's all truly unconfirmed. But there's no denying the pastel egg buttons from the XEGS being used on that wouldn't possibly transition into what could have been a Super XE system but in which case, why call it Mirai? Apparently it means Future in Japanese.
In the end, whatever it may be, it is an absolute wonk design... back fins (like Japanese sports cars with spoilers?), front bottom swivels, pastel egg buttons, even the triangle to separate the power button in isolation and what would have been something nearly 3 times as wide as a Jaguar cartridge.

AFAIK, it's literally just a concept case and what was actually supposed to be inside it is purely speculation sadly, with no actual confirmation somehow

I've never had a problem with the way the JagCD looked and the first unit I purchased in September of 1995 was rock solid. Literally that unit would play through the most scratched CDs I owned and it was astonishing to me, was easily the best CD player I had ever owned. Fast forward to some 20+ years later and a few JagCDs later? They're not so great now but given the questionable way most people care or don't rather for their electronics, I'm not surprised most function less than optimal.
Fully on board with the idea of JagCD emulation on the GD, I just hope I can make JCD audio CDs to play on the VLM as that's my absolute favorite thing of the Jaguar CD!
