  1. I finally got some quality time to play this! I forgot about what a fun game it is. 40,760
  2. My first job was also at a Movie Theater! We didn't have to wear ties though - our uniform was basically a white button up shirt and then they gave us a vest to wear. When I got to be a projectionist - there was no uniform required 🙂
  3. Our seasons here are extremely distinct, so the best time to visit really depends on what you are into. I am personally a fan of Fall because I don't handle heat and humidity very well 🙂... also all of the fall colors are amazing if you make it here during the right window of time.
  4. I think that I still have a sheet of those loony tunes stamps! I am fairly sure that I at least have the display one for Bugs that came with the big sticker to frame it. If I can find them I will post them. I am very happy that I still have my Spock tie - I haven't really seen anything like it since. It is a bit faded, but still great!
  5. Hello, this is Mark, the MaliciousCarp - I am coming to you from the Southern 'burbs of the Twin Cities. My user name (MaliciousCarp) was the first name that xbox live suggested when I was signing up to play Halo 2 on the original XBOX. (The Direct X Box?). I found that the name has been available almost everywhere, so I tend to use it whenever I need a user name. (Or just m_carp sometimes) I had been hearing about Atari.io for years from folks like The No Swear Gamer, The Pie Factory Podcast, The Intellivisionaries Podcast, Arcade USA... however, the thing that finally got me to join was when the Atari Creep mentioned the high score squad here. I like having an excuse to dig out some of my old favorite games and give them a whirl and I really love how accessible the rules are - with Emulators and being allowed and no specific rules about controllers. The 2600 was my first console, then I went on to the C64 (My brother and I begged my Dad for an NES, but he said that if he was going to spend that much on something that can play games - he was going to get a Computer so that we could at least learn some skills that might help us get a job someday... Now I am a Software QA Engineer and my brother is a network Admin... so dad was right - I guess 😉 ) After the C64 I went with all Sega stuff (GameGear, Genesis, Sega CD, Saturn, Dreamcast). I didn't get a chance to revisit the great Nintendo consoles until after I was out of college and could afford to buy some of them. These days I mostly play arcade style games and a few modern games (My current system is PS4... I was grossly addicted to Monster Hunter World for a while) Besides video games - I love movies (monster movies, classic horror movies, scifi, and disaster movies... I do try to catch Svengoolie every Saturday night), Board Games, tinkering with electronics, and making confusing lists that go on and on.
  6. I grew up in the far north suburbs of the Twin Cities. Our hometown grocery store was Soderquist's Market. Otherwise we would go to Rainbow Foods for bigger shopping trips (the chain shut down in 2012 or so) or Cub Foods (They are the big local chain owned by Supervalue) Occasionally we would go to a Red Owl, which I don't remember much about, but the logo was awesome (way too cool for a grocery store). Fortunately, Cub Foods started selling Red Owl branded stuff (Since Supervalue also owned Red Owl) so I got this bag!
  7. Here is a picture of me modeling the BEST TIE EVER! It would have been 1995 or so and it is one of the few things that I actually bought from Spencer's Gifts (usually we would just go in there and laugh at the novelty stuff). This picture was from before I knew how to tie a tie and it shows.
  8. @Atari Creep - I have been subscribed to your youtube channel for a while... and I feel like I missed over half of these videos. thanks for all the content! I really like seeing this stuff!
  9. The theater that I worked for at the time actually got Godzilla 2000! I was so excited to see a "real Godzilla move" (guy in a rubber suit Godzilla) in the theater! that was a great experience and may be why I like 2000 more than I probably should. For Godzilla '98 - I wish I could see how it would have done if it had been called anything other than Godzilla. The part about the monster nesting and hatching 100's of eggs wouldn't have worked for Godzilla (in my opinion). If it had been named like Iguanasaur or something - I think that it would have worked!
  10. That is one reason why I liked Rampage so much! It was nice to see something like that take place in the Midwest for once. Usually giant monsters only attack New York, LA, or Washington DC.
  11. I was digging through some of my old movie memorabilia and I found my Godzilla 1998 opening day promotional stuff. I decided to watch the movie again and I feel like it really holds up as fun giant monster movie. The problem is that it is a terrible Godzilla movie. If they would have named the monster something different and not told everyone that the monster was the new Godzilla - it would have been much better received. In later Godzilla movies they did occasionally refer to the monster as just 'zilla, but the damage was done (Zilla shows up for an 8 second cameo in Godzilla Final Wars). The movie itself hit a lot of the same notes that Rampage did later on. (Which I also really enjoyed) Anyways - rather than give a detailed review of the movie - I wanted to share my release day promotional "Reproduction film frame" because the idea is hilarious. It looks nothing like a real film frame and has faded a lot, but it was a great little give away at the time 🙂 I also found my TacoBell promotional CD-ROM and threw that into the mix. Enjoy!
  12. wow - totally not my game. I will keep going, but this is pretty much the best I have managed so far. 28,900
  13. I was a total Sega Fanboy back in the day, so my Super Nintendo experience is pretty limited. My first SNES was the Retron 3, which had terrible sound and couldn't play StarFox. I eventually got a SNES model 2 and a SNES Classic Mini which both can play StarFox. This should be an interesting one! (I was originally going to make a joke about playing the original Star Fox on the 2600 and submitting a score for it, but I feel like I am too new here... Also, I really don't want to subject myself to a Mythicon game if I don't have to) 🙂
  14. Here is my best. wow - this variant starts out hard, then gets crazy hard once the neutral zone is taken away.
  15. This feels more like luck, but it is a slight improvement. It seems like once you get past the tanks your score starts building rapidly. I got to the rocket stage and managed to jump it once on this run
  16. Hey - I am new here, this is my first high score challenge. I Had to try this one when I saw Atari Creep post his high score run because I love Moon Patrol (even though I kind of suck at it) I have a ton of trouble getting past the crater run that is after the first set of tanks. Those triangle ships seem to create an impossible jump every single time. I will keep trying though 🙂
