oooh I love 🍍 drinks. Didn't know about this one. Although I only drink diet soda, I'd make an exception to try pineapple Fanta.

I mostly drink diet as well, but this is one of only a few regular sodas I'll drink as there's no diet option that I know of. I like to try the weirder sodas sometimes. Nothing against regular stuff; I just think diet tastes better.

Grape Fanta is another one I like.  Has anyone tried Pineapple Fanta?

Dude, they make pineapple Fanta? I've had the pineapple Faygo stuff before at gas stations, but I didn't know Fanta made it as well.

I think you are wise to avoid the sugar, to be honest.  The  typical can of regular soda has 20-30g of sugar!  In general, that's why I'll only partake in these things once in a while.

Not so much the sugar. I don't really care to be honest. I just like how the diet stuff is thinner and less sticky. When I drink the regular stuff it somehow makes me thirstier.

  4. Awesome, @nosweargamer! I guessed it! The GemStik is special to me as it's the first Atari controller I ever fixed. It was unresponsive and the rubber coating thing was coming off. Not my favorite, but a good second player controller. Has a nice button.

Sadly, it seems my 7800 won't be coming today either. They HAVE it, so that's good, but they need to test it or whatever. I won't be able to play on Atari Day, but I WILL be able to play it tomorrow and Japanese Atari Day (28th, 2800)!

Happy Atari Day! My first one 🙂

I posted this in a few Facebook groups today. I'm going to have to get more Atari shirts. I only have 2 and they have the same design and look very similiar (one has a smaller logo than this one is all).

Someone should make a sticker of @socrates63's head. I'd put that on  all my Atari consoles, including the 7800 when I pick it up hopefully later today.

I was thinking that too because of the button color. But I think it's the Atari joystick. The stick looks little too thin and tall to be the GemStik. I think the button color came out that golden color because of the pixelation effect.

If you were to hold the controller like you were playing it, in the upper right corner there's that white pixel line. There's no equivalent to that on the standard Atari-brand controller. Plus, those little pixels around the joystick look like they might be the white arrows on the GemStik. And there looks to be that the plastic around the button is bulging out a bit. Much like the GemStik.

Here's a picture I took at roughly the same angle and distance:

What a great Atari Day gift!

Isn't funny that a "quick question" turned into you getting a 7800 on Atari Day! :Nolan_Bushnell::pole_position_blimp:👍

Yeah, guess it wasn't so quick after all! I sure hope it comes in tomorrow.

By the way, @nosweargamer, I love your podcast on the 7800. I've been listening to it these past few days. It's really getting me hyped for this system! Shame that it ended, but there's no way you could've kept it going after you covered all the games. Great job, my dude.

Wow, same price for loose and CIB? Either the loose carts are expensive there or the CIB games are dirt cheap, and I'm guessing it's the latter.

It's kind of both. About $5 for each. Not a terrible price for a loose game, but no where near the prices you get in bulk lots. I don't like to buy things online. I like to be able to see the games in person. I think it's worth the extra dollar or two. Plus, I have most of the common carts you see in 95% of the lots, so it's actually a little cheaper this way. I don't like duplicates.

I'm probably not alone in this, but I like boxes on the shelf and usually collect CIB games if I can.

I'm the same way, IF they're the same price. The game store I frequent often has loose and CIB 2600 games for the same price. If they're any more expensive, I'll buy them loose. I don't have the funds to constantly be paying extra for games I'm going to buy regardless.
