I love it when this guy posts. Always fun to watch. I forgot to mention this, but I have gone and tried this game out. It really is wuite fun when you know what the heck you're even doing! He's right about the mobile game loop thing, but I usually don't care much for mobile games. Dragster is pretty good though.

For some reason, in a tenth-grade English class, we had to make self portraits as a sort of an ice-breaker type activity. I decided to make mine in Video Graffiti on the Surround cartridge (mode #13). Since I don't own the cartridge, I decided to use my trusty Wii and emulate the game! I also decided to stretch my TV out to 16:9, the greatest sin in all of Retro Gaming. The reason I did this was the pixels seem to be slightly rectangular; the width is shorter than the length. I have decided to post the picture here as no one in that class (not even the teacher, N64/PS1 generation there) can truly appreciate the work I did here. I don't want to brag or anything, but I think I did a pretty good job for my first try. This took me about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to complete altogether, as I used graph paper to graph it out first. If anyone wants to try this out or do some other kind of drawing, just remember: the resolution from what I can tell is 39 pixels wide and 20 pixels tall. Hold the button down on game 13 to erase (game 14 is like an etch-a-sketch). Be sure to spray your Video Graffiti here-- just don't get caught by the cops!

14,980. I'm improving. Sorry it's so blurry. By the way, is it just me that is bothered when people say the aliens are the Galaxians? Even the back of the 2600 box says that. But in the arcade it says WE are the Galaxians. Mission: Destroy aliens. I mean it could be the aliens that are talking because technically earthlings would be aliens to them, but on the arcade attract mode it also says "Bonus Galaxip for x points." So the Galaxip is your extra ship, so that confirms you play as the Galaxians. The aliens I always assumed were the Galaga. I think it mentions something about that in Galaga or the arcade manual, but don't quote me on that.

I didn't know they made 2600 carts in the 7800 style without the shielding. I have a Jungle Hunt like that. I thought it was broken or something until I got my 7800 earlier this week and saw PPII was the same! Now that I look at it, I see the plastic spear thingies in there are a completely different shape than the spears in the shielded carts! Silly me. It does say 1988 on the cartridge.

Last year was all Luigis Mansion 3. This year? Maybe eat some saltines. I don't know.

It reminds me of those highly unsafe fireworks you buy at the fireworks stands. One of those tipped over once and started shooting the neighbor's garage door. Let's just say that was the last time we ever lit those kind off. Excellent video, though. I need to see if my cousin still has it somewhere.

Recently, I've been on a knockoff Aldi Frank's RedHot kick. We need a knockoff Aldi catchphrase as well: I place that feces on all items!

Glad the Gonk droid is getting some love. Always been one of if not my favorite Star Wars droid.

Cilantro will always be one of my favorite flavors. Whenever I get Mexican street tacos or something I make sure to pile that sky-high with cilantro and onions, and then drown it in lime. MMMMM! But a couple of months ago I found out that to some people, Cilantro tastes like leafy flakes of soap. I don't remember what causes it; if you know please reply down below as that would really help. But I digress. What do you guys think of cilantro?

Starting the morning off right with some Galaxian on my Wii! I haven't played too much of the 2600 version, though I've always been more of a Galaxian type of guy rather than Galaga. While I don't care for the large spaces between aliens, and the yellow border really evokes some 2600 Carnival vibes, I'd have to say this is a much better port than I remember. I will have to look for it. Edit: Thanks to Rick, a Galaxian cart may be coming my way! @RickR, thank you! I will respond to your PM once I'm able to post again! (Reached limit because of stupid insomnia)

Well, it worked out ok. I surprisingly could recognize most of the games by sound. The most confusing ones were the flight sims. By the way, that ProLine sure was stubborn to reassemble! Have either you, @nosweargamer, or anyone else here tried putting one back together by yourself? Well, actually, knowing the community here I'm going to guess yes. But seriously! Yeesh.

@Duckie25 Have you tried Bump N Jump, Tunnel Runner or Miniature Golf yet? Those are some pretty fun ones that aren't often talked about. If you have other people to play with, I would also recommend Artillery Duel or Flag Capture, though both are definitely acquired tastes!

This is a great resource for brand-new 7800 collectors like myself. Now if I could only get this stubborn controller clean... On an unrelated note, I've never much cared for Robotron 2084. It has always seemed empty without the maze element to it. Almost mindless. In Berzerk there is more strategy with Evil Otto, the mazes, the robots, and your inability to fire multiple shots.

Oh, do not fret. Basically here's how it works: *glance over at phone* Oh, it's Mario Bros! *scrubs board with toothbrush and alchohol* *enjoys glorious TIA sound effects* Rinse and repeat!
