2600 Pac-Man via Discord was fun! Thanks to all who played. It was unfortunate that we were unable to do it here, but it was fun doing it on another platform. Hey, at least it happened in the first place!

What an amazing collection! @nosweargamer I was blown away the other day when I saw this on YouTube. That must've cost a pretty penny! I don't even know where someone could find that sort of an XE blue box collection. I have some new in the box but nothing like what you just got your hands on. As 7800 guys the XE always seemed like an alter ego, the other side of the moon 🌖

Totally @Justin! It was very lucky to get it, although not cheap (still cheaper if I bought them individually). I got a chance to talk a bit with the guy I bought them from. He used to be a MASSIVE 8-bit collector.  Honestly, I wasn't even looking for boxed XE games, but I couldn't resist when I saw it. It'll be interesting to compare these to their 7800 counterparts.

I’m looking forward to 2084. I’ll be 79 years old then. I’ll be sitting in my backyard patio, looking at the birds at the feeders and my domestic geese and chickens doing their things. By that time, I would probably have an Odyssey 2 and a Channel F, and hopefully a Crystal Castles cabinet. I’d just be sitting outside, enjoying the nice weather with a cup of Breakfast Blend coffee and a plate of plums and honeydew melon when BOOM! One of those annoying brainy guys beams me in the backside. Ouch.

I would be 110. If I make it that far.

@socrates63, Some of the Atari 8-bit game boxes are way too massive. Usually I like to have complete games, but for those big boxes, I'm ok without them.

😁 I actually have 9 of the big oversized boxes. I thought all Atari games were in the oversize boxes but apparently not. I recently picked up from ebay Computer Chess thinking it was in the big box because it had the same box art design style, but it came in a small box, about the size of a 2600 game box.

My guess is at some point, they reduced the box sizes. I wouldn't be surprised if some games came out in large boxes that later got shrunk.

I can't tell you how much I'm enjoying this show.

Don't feel bad.  I think a lot of us have the same issue. 

I was just thinking about you @nosweargamer. I hope you are doing well! I haven't been as active lately either, I think we've all been super busy with work life and personal life. I always try to keep the fun times going here and keep activities posted, but ultimately classic gaming is a hobby for most of us and sometimes I get distracted with work, etc. to keep the lights on here. You, @RickR and many others who have been here for years are pillars of our community and I really love to see that you guys are still here after all this time. I hope everybody's having a great start to the Fall season and still having fun in the forums!

You're welcome! It's become hard to schedule to do stuff on Atari Day, but it just so happened I was recording a posting a 2600 review on the 26th!
