  1. I'm sure cards had more of a smell when sealed with an unwrapped piece of gum, but that has long been done away with and my included Bazooka Joe bubble gum is wrapped, so the smell doesn't get attached as easily to the cards. And yes, while about half of the cards are typically 80's & 90's baseball and football cards, the other half are usually non sports cards from tv shows, movies, games and more. As a matter of fact, I think at least one of my recently made packs includes a temporary tattoo and one contains a sticker card, although I don't know which pack those are or if those packs made it in the box or not.
  2. Ah yes, Goldeneye! I know it's how it works out sometimes, but it amazes me we have the ability to build such a grand structure, but not repair it when two of it's support cables get snapped. I bet RickR & Willie could repair it!
  3. Odyssey 2 Month continues with a look at a popular 2600 game ported to the 02. Ep 670: Demon Attack
  4. 86,546 Man, this game ramps up the difficulty after stage 3.
  5. Actually, the handheld you got was the one I used for my video. So you got a piece of bonafide YouTube history right there, LOL. Sorry, I forgot to include a certificate of authenticity.🤣
  6. Coleco Sports 10 in 1 Handheld I tend to wrap things with screens in plastic to avoid scratches while in the box.
  7. Great Picks! I've yet to see SMB: The Movie, but both The Wizard and Cloak & Dagger make for good popcorn flicks. These junk boxes also have a way in helping people start new collections! I know I've gotten games before for system I wouldn't get until later. Well, most of my stuff has been taken, except for a few things, so it'll be fun to see what Rick gets when the box returns to him! Side note: I don't think anyone has ever said "I had more than enough room to fit in everything I wanted to put in!" 😂
  8. Odyssey 2 Month continues with what might be the first real time strategy game ever commercially released. Ep 669: War of Nerves
  9. Checking out some 1994 trading cards based on the popular movie, The Crow.
  10. 78,718 Feels kinda like a Gravitar inspired platformer. I like the maze leading into the third base. It also has one of my favorite things: games within games. I wonder if anything special happens if you clear out the breakout bricks?
  11. FYI, The arcade game is included on Atari Anthology, which was released for the Xbox, PS2 & Windows in the mid 2000's It was also included on Atari Greatest Hits Volume 2 for the DS And here's a fun fact. In an interview with Next Generation Magazine (July 1995), Sam Tramiel said that they were going to make Major Havoc their version of Sonic or Mario icon/mascot game. Imagine that! Major Havoc: Jaguar Mascot. Of course the system would be discontinued the following year and I have not heard if work on a Jaguar Major Havoc game ever got started.
  12. Welcome Crash! I hope you get well soon! VCS, 7800, 02, Intellivision...I like your tastes! You're story also reminds me of mine. I got into retro collecting during college, buying a 2600 off of ebay and an NES from Funcoland. If you're talking from MI, I grew up near Detroit, but had family near Traverse City. I decided to recheck AA for my current rarest 2600 games. According to them, I have two rarity 9 games (both loose): Q*berts Qubes & Swordquest Waterworld.
  13. So can we all agree that crushing an enemy by elevator is just as horrifying as blowing up an enemy with air in Dig Dug?
  14. Checking out the new 40th Anniversary Gold Pac-Man Mini Arcade by Basic Fun.
  15. Taking a look at the recently released TMNT Fighter Tiny Arcade game by Super Impulse.
  16. Have a great marathon! I watched a bit of Circus Atari, you were killing it, but I couldn't comment since I don't have a twitch account.
  17. Odyssey 2 Month continues with a trip to the links. Ep 668: Computer Golf!
  18. Welcome Wade. Did you always live in Michigan? I grew up in the suburbs by Detroit, but now live in Tennessee.
  19. Nice picks! Knights Mission came from Willie, Magnetargert was from me, as did the Lynx games and Commando. I actually used that copy of Warbirds for my review of it. I also put some of what I thought was your favorite candy in there, but I guess I was wrong? Since no one has taken any NSG Card Packs yet, anyone who gets the box can take the extras. Don't worry about replacing them value wise. I made sure to put in more than enough to cover what I took out so that anyone could take out the packs for free. Rick, if a bunch of packs get returned to you and you don't want them all, you can just send them back to me the next time we do a trade and I'll use them for giveaways. Or you can open them all and eat all the gum for yourself!
  20. The package is in the mail! Thank you to everyone who participated. I'll post the next giveaway in December!
  21. Odyssey 2 Month continues with a look at an early foosball video game. Ep 667: Electronic Table Soccer
  22. With the recent passing of Alex Trebek, I began wondering if I'd lose interest in Jeopardy? I used to think it was the Game Show itself that was the most important part, but now I'm seconding guessing myself. I used to really dig The Price is Right, but after Bob Barker retired, I found my interest wane. I tried Drew Carrey, but for me, it lost something. I remember "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" being a big hit, but without Regis, it wasn't the same. Family Feud did well with Dawson, but had to go through multiple hosts until it found Harvey. So what do you think? Which is more important: The Game Show or the Host? And do you plan to watch Jeopardy without Trebek?
  23. FYI - I plan to do another giveaway in December, but this one will contain Christmas paper wrapped mystery items!
  24. Many welcomes and thanks for introducing yourself! You'll find this is a super friendly site!
