He was the only person I ever knew with Dark Tower, now I own a perfect copy of it!!!!

I had a good friend who lived a couple blocks away. His parents got divorced in 81'. In an attempt to buy his love, this kid had everything ever!!!! I mean everything! I remember his mom paying $55 for Asteroids for 2600 the day it came out!!!

So much more to it! Just awesome!

It is officially the greatest game ever made. There is a one person tutorial game. Meant for two to four though. You work your way around the board counter clockwise through 3 different territories, each one contains a key( bronze, silver and gold of course) and then mass your forces to attack the tower! Different diificulty levels determine the final battle in the tower! D &D brought to life, great game and worth every penny!!!

Next up, "Turn The Terrible Tank" !!!!

It was worth the $250!!!! It took me 30 years to get this!!!

Not yet, didn't think to buy batteries! D'oh! My daughter is already in love with it and we will be doing a marathon tomorrow!!!

I did it!!! After 30 years I bought Dark Tower!!! $250 but never played in great condition!!! I will share pics!!!

I was just watching this earlier to day! Thank you!

So here's how I recall it. Each player had there own section of board they started with. The goal was to travel through each player's territory to gain a bronze, silver and gold key. Once you had the keys you could attack the "Dark Tower" for an epic battle to win! You would turn the tower on, enter how many players and it mostly did the rest. On your turn you move one space in any direction then press the corresponding key on the tower You had to buy soldiers and rations for them at bazzaars. When you moved you either had an encounter where you battle Brigands and the "tower" controlled the battle in a turn based fashion, Or got lost or the plague .The tower would display everything, complete with sound effects! Dragons, Gold, what's not to love!!! There was actually even more to the game than I described, just way ahead of it's time. Electronic D&D from way back!!!

It was beautiful. Up to 4 players, the "tower" was electronic and would display battle stats, etc.Random encounters, dragons, finding keys and treasure!! I found a dos version years ago, not the same but it was pretty cool.

I remember this being the greatest board game of all time!! My best friend had it back in 82, I've found it in perfect condition on ebay for $200 and will have it soon!!!

I have 2600, 5200 and 7800. I WILL have a Jaguar one day!

Sadly I have never even seen a Jaguar in real life!

I started playing Magic when 4th edition came out and was fanatical about it for many years!! I still think it's one of the most brilliant games ever. Still have 1,000s of cards and taught my daughter to play!
