  1. ANY game with a real-looking crossbow controller was going to get some serious attention from us kids! Lets be honest, the games with sweet custom controls were the best games of all. Sit-down Pole Position, Battlezone with two sticks and the periscope, Stunt Cycle, even Tron with its black-light enhanced controls.....
  2. Wait...mail to Portland and not to me??? (I'm kidding of course!) USPS has been pretty good to me. Ebay sales to almost anywhere in the country arrive in 2 days (Priority Mail). Maybe I'm just lucky. Plus I really love how they pick stuff up at my home for free. I schedule a pickup through the web site and it works like a champ. My guess is that it's the local post office that sets the tone for getting stuff delivered quickly. Because in the tracking, I can see my packages getting processed and sent out of Portland FAST...usually the same day they pick them up.
  3. Great! I just downloaded the new version. I had the prior version on my tablet and really enjoyed it!

Oh no problem. I subscribed so I can see any other demo videos you put out. Thank you!

    Frogged

Let us know when and where it will be for sale. It's very nicely done! A retro update to Frogger is a brilliant idea.
  6. YES! It reminds me of people that complain about their favorite business or newspaper or magazine or whatever ceasing to exist. Did you support it? No! Then stop complaining.
  7. Gaming on PC back then was def a step backwards.
  8. 128400 I'm playing on a real 2600jr with a PlusCart, and this game is available on PlusCart. It's an awesome version of the game! I've never tried it before. But it has some really great updates to make it much closer to the arcade original. I like the sounds and music a lot!
  9. Incredible job @socrates63 on this high score. And also to @Atari 5200 Guy and @Smell Dawg for rounding out the top 3, and everyone else who played. This was one of those contests where we saw people get better and better over the month. PS - Thank you @Justin for making these challenges a whole month long!
  10. I agree with all of this. I was just thinking that they probably had code/calls designed to tell if a 2600 joystick, paddle, or 7800 stick was plugged in to each controller port. That purchase of Atari by Tramiel was more horrible than we could have ever imagined for the gaming legacy of Atari. Such a shame.
  11. Same! How can it tell? The only possible difference may be the bit of extra circuitry for button 2. If memory serves, it uses the same pin as button 1...kind of a multi-plex circuit but based on resistance? And why the heck didn't they make "down" work as hyperspace for 7800 in addition to button 2? This one really boggles my mind.
  12. Very entertaining. Go VIC-20! All of the Atarisoft games for VIC-20 are pretty awesome like that.
  13. I finally won one! WAHOO! Thank you guys for taking it easy on me on this one. This is a very worthy "update" to original Yars'. I love it.
  14. Oh cool! I can't remember if I purchased this one or not. But I will for this contest!
  15. I have a CIB Rygar that I got via trade here on the forums. A prized possession, I won't ever move it. You are totally on-point with this. The Lynx version of Rygar is really good and they kept it true to the arcade version. Good luck in your hunt. Hopefully, it isn't too hard to find.
  16. Nudge me awake when something actually gets released. 🙂
  17. The game ends quickly with the curving quotile and fast chaser! Good luck to you.
  18. Tip: Join the Stone Age Gamer Discord. They give advance notice when stock will be available 🙂 I'm not doing the GameDrive myself as I've been so happy with the Concerto (with POKEY added). But I'm interested to know how it works!
  19. Game Drive! You and @CrossBow will have to let us know what you think! And really nice other stuff too. I should buy that McDonald's game for Genesis too!
  20. Atari50 is on sale on Steam right now.  This is a MUST buy for all Atari fans.
