  1. MESS would. You can use mappings for ANY type of controller.
  2. This reminds me of when I first got married. My wife and I were saving to buy a house. We lived right next to a Fred Meyer store. So we'd buy the 3 packs of Fred Meyer take/bake pizzas because they were cheap. NOT like a Papa Murphy or what you might expect now, these were essentially about the same quality of frozen pizza only refrigerated. Anyway, once we finally bought a house....NEVER AGAIN with those lousy cardboard pizzas! 🙂
  3. I may have misread -- here's one I'll NEVER get tired of. 🙂
  4. I think Tuvix needs a hug more than any of us.
  5. How about this awful crap? There is no way this wasn't toxic. It smelled like a chemical factory. I always wondered what happened to those kids that inhaled.
  6. Are these the same as Clackers? Because those things were the WORST. Head injury is nearly a given.
  7. YES! This is a great one. For whatever reason, I always thought Moon Patrol was an Atari game. But nope. Irem. It is still a lot of fun!

Stupid robots can't even wipe off grime to get the name right. "Advanced" my @ss.
  9. Hopefully not much longer! My order was on 7/19 I think...so I'm not sure what the order of shipments really is.
  10. NICE collection! Let me know what you are going to open and try next. Maybe we can do another "Let's All Play" with whatever you choose. Even if it's the Data East collection you've already started. I've been going back and forth on whether to get an EXP. While I would like the ability to update my games, I find it wasteful to not simply enjoy the original Evercade handheld that I have.
  11. 11,150. I'm playing on the MESS emulator on PC.
  12. Oooh, good idea. I hadn't thought of that. I have a Retrogameboys button controller for Asteroids. I'll try that. Thanks.
  13. I will! Draconian is probably my favorite homebrew so far. Astoundingly good. I love the speech. It's easy to find a difficulty level that I can deal with, plus it ramps up very fairly. Star Castle is also really good, but boy is it difficult.
  14. Wow! That would be something incredible to see in person
  15. AtariAge order finally arrived! I like to imagine what would have happened if these two had been released by Atari back in the day. I think we all would have lost our collective minds.
  16. I'm sorry to hijack this thread for a non-VCS reason, but I have a quick update on my old laptop. It does NOT meet the minimum requirements for graphics adapter for ChimeraOS. I think this speaks pretty well for the VCS hardware though. I've moved on to trying "Batocera", another linux based gaming OS, instead. It installed just fine and works pretty well so far. I need to add more ROMS and that looks pretty easy to do. It will be interesting to see which console this old laptop maxes out at. I actually think a Raspberry Pi is more powerful than this computer. However, this has a nice screen, keyboard, and touchpad built in, so it may be a perfect retro gaming station for really old games. What is really cool is that everything just worked upon initial install. Wifi, video, etc. No fiddling necessary other than putting in a wifi password.
  17. Damn, @Sabertooth! You gave me the info I needed for a really crappy old Windows laptop that I've been wondering what to do with. It's a beauty cosmetically, but it has a really BAD AMD E-300 CPU that can't even run Solitaire at 30fps. I'm going to try putting ChimeraOS on there.
  18. The demo is here if anyone would like to try before buying. https://forums.atariage.com/topic/353709-blockem-sockem-7800/?do=findComment&comment=5353739
  19. I hope nobody minds me posting a quick follow up on my new ride. 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid. I'm four months and about 3500 miles in. I'm getting 41 mpg, which is exactly in line with the sticker estimate. I LOVE the safety features in the car, and it really does help me stay out of trouble. Things like blind-spot-monitoring, lane assist, auto braking, etc. They work shockingly well. Adaptive cruise control is a MUST HAVE. Once you have it, you wonder how you survived without. And it will drive for you in stop/go traffic too. This car is a hoot to drive. It is just as quick as an electric car off the line (albeit noisier). Perfect size for an older couple that loves to take trips. We get in/out easily, and there is plenty of cargo room for stuff. Go for the highest trim if you can (XSE). It has the eco-leather seats, heated seats, and a really nice sunroof, the wireless connection to your phone, and some understated LED interior lighting. Made in a new factory in Alabama. Toyota makes several hybrid SUV's. This one gets the best gas mileage and also is the lowest price. But on the converse side -- it's also the smallest. AWD worked really well in the snowy winter we had here. Absolutely no issues with standard all-season tires.
