This image of a dust storm in Greece looks a lot like Hollywood movie scene of ancient ruins on Mars.

Congrats!
oh my...I looked mine up. I showed this to my kids and they were legitimately startled.

So, exactly 24 years ago I joined Ebay and that led me to start collecting more and more retro games and systems. I was surprised at how easy it was to find old games! Ebay sent me an email with this image to "celebrate"...2913 positive feedback in that time. 🙂

RickR got a reaction from DegasElite in Cherry MX keys for a TI-99/4A! (Upgrading a Mitsumi keyboard) - VIDEO
This is a really cool idea. It can not only fix a broken or failing keyboard, but also make a huge improvement.

I found a reference to the keycap puller in a recent video I watched and thought I'd post it here for those who may be interested.

FYI - I have the 7800 gamepad from these guys and it works really nicely. It has lasted a long time too. I'd definitely buy again.

hahaha that reminds me of the time I was getting a developer to help me with my C++ homework. From 1997-2002, I was taking evening classes part-time at the university pursuing a second bachelor in computer science while working at Microsoft. Those weekly programming assignments were brutal. In case anyone is curious, I dropped out.

It appears to be authentic and there's some interesting stuff here. What do you guys think? 1983 - 1992 skips the early days, but we get a lot of later history.

Very cool day to day minutia of Atari. 😄 Entertaining to see the culture going on through e-mails.
This one reminds me of when I bought a book on coding games in C for DOS around....1994 maybe. I did not have a C compiler or have access to a C compiler. 😅 Borland and Watcom were expensive at CompUSA, so...were off limits for me. At least Petrick had engineers she could mooch off of. 😛

RickR reacted to Jinroh in DIY ST Video -> Composite cable.
Was poking around old ST magazines, and found this cable schematic to output composite video from the stock ST video port.
Did not know this trick, and thought some of you YouTube channel guys might find it useful for recording ST games on the cheap if you hadn't heard of it either. My guess is that it would be 50HZ, rather than the 60HZ NTSC (IIRC the ST monitors are 50HZ), but not sure. Either way a modern LCD shouldn't care, same with a capture device. 😛

That looks pretty slick! It looks like a customized 3D printed insert into a standard case. I'd get one if I was any good with a gamepad, sadly I'm not.
