I played this series on the PC a long time ago.  While I did like it, I got really frustrated (like you) at the lack of ammunition.  And the "Circus of values" things -- I got so sick of that sound bite after a while.

I think this is a game that really explains why I don't do "modern gaming" at all on PS4 or XBox One (or even PS3/360)...the PC versions of games totally kick butt in most cases with far superior controls.  Even "Halo" (an XBOX game) is a lot more fun on the PC IMO just because the mouse/keyboard control system is so much more accurate and natural.  Maybe it's just FPS games I guess.

ok, we found more comic titles, some the boxes not so good because they were heavy to begin with, but some in good shape. so we are adding to the offer, shipping will be dropped for u.s.a. customers if they buy the package.

we are throwing in a title for free if you buy the package. the game box is in rough shape, atari sold it to me that way. most people do not know this, but jack did dig up some E.T.'S, reboxed them in six pack boxes, and sold them to me. when i opened the six pack boxes, there was dirt in the boxes.
i called atari, they told me what they had done. so please the box is that way for a reason.
new total with free shipping IN THE U.S.A and a free E.T. $75.75.

I'm looking forward to the "Astrosmash vs. Astroblast" video, as I think the paddle controls will give the Atari version a big win.
I really agree with you on Astrosmash.  It's a go-to action game on the Intv, but it sure gets boring fast.  I don't like how easy it is to rack up extra ships.  They should have made it harder, or at least offered a "difficult" game variation that ramped up faster and offered no bonus ships.

    hi everyone,

dug these out of the warehouse, customer then never responded. i do not want to put them back. so they are up for sale now.

star raiders new in box, including controller, cart, docs and comic.

defender, new in box shrink wrapped, blue box, with cart docs and comic.

both boxes are in fair to good shape, but the defender on the back shrink wrap has sucked the bottom in somewhat. can't guarantee perfection, but are still in good shape all of these years later.

price with shipping in the u.s.a., $41.40. outside the u.s.a., we would need your country of origin for a shipping rate.
    thanks for looking,

It is really awesome.  Unbelievable really.  If this came out back in the 80's, we would have all been amazed.
This is one title I will purchase at PRGE when it's available.

I should have thought of this when I made my USB paddle controller take the stop out for the pot (its only used to mount the sensing disc on for the optical mouse circuit) and it becomes a spinner Now to build another one and add a second switch (for the super zapper) so I can play Tempest on my PC

The guys from ChampGames are currently working on an amazing home port of Galaga for the Atari 2600.  I know NSG posted about it but this deserves its own thread.  Head to the thread in AA to get the demo binary:  Champ Games - Galaga 2600
