Your 72 pin connector is the culprit you speak of on the NES. Cheap for a replacement, or you can clean the pins. Either way, there's YouTube vids that will walk you through it.

That IS a great price and idea (providing your own shell). I'd love to see a pic when yours comes in.

My laptop works great, but it has a strange issue with pressure being applied anywhere on the frame of the laptop, so I have to be careful when typing about resting my hands. It will basically act like I clicked the mouse, which will then make whatever text I'm typing to start appearing in random places. (wherever the cursor happens to be)

I read about that with Photobucket. RIP to them lol

I'm guessing inside either box is a healthy dose of disappointment. Much ado about nothing, like Sega sending out cryptic mix cassettes to hype the fact that they want to sell mobile apps. It has people talking for now, but I have a feeling it will have people laughing in two weeks. Please let me be wrong, but Atari at this point seems almost incapable of doing the right thing.

BTW I did sub. Hope you do more INTV reviews. It deserves some quality reviews by people who do their homework. Most of the reviews are people who don't bother reading manuals and like to complain about the controller a lot. *cough*8-bitEric*cough*

You did a great job reviewing it, but I gotta be honest. When they first posted about this on that other Atari site, I thought it was a joke. I can see I was wrong, and there was a demand for it...but they could not have possibly picked something less interesting to me. And then to charge $60? I can get a vintage pong machine for less than that. I'm definitely open to the idea of getting some homebrews after I get my original release collection where I want it, but my attention is drawn to some of the new, creative titles people come up with. Truth be told, Atari's homebrew community seems to be the most original, creative bunch. Most of what I see for INTV and Colecovision are just ports.

Venture is a good port on Intellivision.
