I'd have to go with Haunted House for the 2600.
They managed to get a lot of atmosphere out of 8 bits of data.

Another update.
Insurance got with Dad today. We're getting $70k for everything.
Well, everything but my collection. Alas, it wasn't factored into the payout, so I'm on my own with rebuilding.
However, the fine folks over at RFGeneration have announced that they're starting a drive to chip in and help out, and I feel so grateful.

The shoutout means a lot, man.
I do have some good news to share.
We already have our new house lined up. Should only be a little while till we'll have our new place.

Well, the insurance guy came back, but he didn't look at my list or anything. They just decided to lump all the contents together and pay out for everything, so I really don't know what that means with regards to rebuilding my collection.

Sorry for your loss. I'd be upset as well. You still have your life which is more valuable than any game or console is worth. I know it may not seem the same but whatever you get can replace those and add new stories on top of old stories. List here what systems you had. I'll see what I can dig up. I know its heartbreaking...but EVERYBODY needs a little Pac-Man and ET in their lives. Not trying to be, what's the word, insensitive or anything but honestly, you can really only go up from here.
Others are right. Get with your insurance company, take whatever pictures you have of your collection for proof with you, and see what all is covered. Once you start getting them again setup an account at RF Generation and start keeping track of your collection for insurance purposes. It can be a pain to find the right title but keeping track like that is proof for insurance claims. Then take pictures of what you get as you get them. Some insurance companies will keep records of that stuff if you take them copies of the photos and a complete list. Thats what i do just for Renters Insurance.
Luckily enough, I do already have a RFGeneration list, so I do know exactly what I had, and what boxes and manuals I had.
I have since decided I will continue to collect.
My first step will be heading to Gamestop to find out if their console insurance covers loss by fire. Hopefully I'll either be replacing my Wii U this weekend, or, at the very least, get money back for its loss.
I'll put up a short list of my lost consoles here.
I'm sorry to say, @RickR, that I found the 2600 Jr. you gifted me today, and it was, of course, destroyed.

I'm afraid, guys, that this'll probably be the end of my video game collecting. I can get new games and consoles, sure, but not a single one will recapture the stories and memories I had with the originals. They just can't.
It was fun while it lasted.

A lot of what I lost were gifts from you guys. That hurts the most.

A GoFund Me will be set up tomorrow, I'll share the link then.

So, I have to rebuild almost my entire collection from scratch.
Willing to make deals and I'll pay you guys through Paypal for whatever you can offer.
This will take me many years.
-
I hate to ask for handouts, but any help would be appreciated.
-
My collection was not insured, though, so I don't think I can ever replace any of it.

I guess we are, don't know.
My stupid brother started a garbage fire, and now we've lost everything.
It's my worst nightmare come true.
I know I must be in shock, cause I'm all shaky.
Also can't quit thinking about my destroyed collection. 9 years in the making, destroyed in an hour.

So, Dad and I were out in town running an errand, when we spotted a thrift store we'd never seen before. (I'm assuming it must be fairly new.)
Went in, didn't find much at first. I was looking for video games, only found a couple PS2 titles, some old PC games, and one single PSP game. Also found a USB floppy disk drive from Sony, which I snapped up.
Anyway, we were about to leave, and I'd brought everything to the counter, when I suddenly remembered I hadn't checked the toy section. I go over to the toy shelf, spotted FIVE Easy Bake Ovens (jeez), and was about to go back to the counter, when I looked down at the floor.
There it was... A NINTENDO 64. I couldn't believe my eyes! I grabbed it up, ran to the two cashiers, who was ringing up my other stuff, and said, "This, too! I gotta have it!" The younger cashier and I talked about Goldeneye and Mario Kart.
The N64 cost a grand total of $4, included the power brick, AND IT WORKS.
Now I just need a controller.

Dammit... I missed this... And I'm really upset, too.
I heven't been online in a couple weeks because Mom was in the hospital.
*sighhhhh*

Bear in mind, too, that in 1981 Kenner was also still knee deep in their lucrative licensing deal to produce Star Wars toys.
It's entirely possible that some higher up at the company was looking for some way to expand their Star Wars license. I guarantee had this made it to market Star Wars games would've been slapped all over it.

This item is pretty old, but I've been looking for one for a long time with no luck. It's the Ms. Pac Man plug and play and it has the twisty knob for Pole Position control. It also has the little game key slot, but no cartridge (dang it).
It had really old and dead batteries within, but I wasn't able to open it at Goodwill. I took a chance (only $5), and when I got home, the batteries were ancient. One had leaked, but not bad. I got it cleaned up pretty easily and it works fine.I have that. It's great. Only downside is it doesn't save high scores. Later models do.

Some of my finds over the last month or so:
Picked up these GameCube games in a Pasco, WA Goodwill. I still need to find a GameCube memory card for my Wii, but I have a couple controllers, at least.
Found these two Competion-Pro joysticks at a Goodwill in Hermiston, OR. Haven't tested them out yet. I assume they were designed for the 2600 and the two buttons serve the same function, but it would be nice if they supported the 7800's 2nd button. We'll see!
And I found these at a Idaho Youth Ranch thrift store in Boise. (I discovered there's a lot of thrift stores in Boise. I only had time to stop by a couple, though.)
I am SOOOO jealous of that Paper Mario. I have been coveting that game for years, but the prices it goes for online would make your eyes bleed.

Same as last year:
- Sell what I don't use. I made pretty good progress in this area in 2018. Sold off several systems, some extra TV's, a bunch of games. My sale plans for 2019 include a couple of modded 2600's, an Atari 800, a Rana disk drive, a bunch of handheld games (Entex Pac Man 2 for example). I want to also get rid of a lot of my Intellivision collection and a Mattel Aquarius. Anyone interested in these or maybe something else that I may have, please let me know.
- Buy less, play more.
I'd be interested in your Intellivision stuff, man. I'm still trying to build my collection.

This arrived in the mail today. I look forward to exploring the more unusual side of Nintendo once everything gets settled again.
A question: Is American voltage too high for the Famicom? Will I burn it out if I plug it into any outlet?
