  1. Went to my local Goodwill last Sunday, and got a pretty good haul.

From Russia With Love and Fable for the Xbox, Record of Agarest War for the Xbox 360, two Mary Kate and Ashley games for the Playstation, two old PC games, the soundtrack from The Lion King, and also from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Not pictured is a television hookup cable for the original Xbox.

  2. Went to Goodwill yesterday, and came back with a pretty nice haul.

Found a Samsung Gear VR headset for just $4.99. Brand new, it costs like $99.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Namco Museum case (a different game was inside it, but I had a caseless Namco Museum, so it works out), and Spider-Man for the Xbox.

Found some old PC games, too. You Don't Know Jack, SimCity 3000, Wing Commander: Prophecy, and 40 Best Windows 95 Games.

Hello Kitty is a DS game, still wrapped in plastic.

My JoyStick is an old IBM compatible joystick for younger children. It caught my eye with its thoroughly '90s box art.

Also found a Welcome to Playstation 3 demo blu-ray disc.

Lastly, Robots is the first UMD movie I've managed to add to my collection. However, it gets even better. When I opened the case to check the inside, I found that PSP demo disc stuck inside the case, too. I had no idea the PSP ever even had a demo disc. It has several non-playable game trailers, movie trailers, and music videos.

  3. Found these at goodwill today. An AT Games genesis. Never had one and never really planned on getting one. has a great list of games on it. For $5 sure why not

Next is a power adapter for the gameboy and gameboy color. $5

The main problem with that ATGames Genesis is it has horrible sound emulation. Apparently all the sounds from every game sound wildly incorrectly.
  4. Well, I see I haven't posted my latest finds in awhile, so I thought I'd rectify that glaring omission. These are actually not thrift store finds. They're either Gamestop or Facebook.

    Anyway...

One of my holy grails was Wind Waker, actually. Most copies you find online are $30 or more dollars, but I found this CIB copy on Facebook for a very reasonable $22, which I thought was a steal.

Kirby's Epic Yarn, Super Paper Mario, and Super Mario Galaxy all came from Gamestop.

Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, RPG Maker Fes, and A Link Between Worlds were also Gamestop.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 was from Wal*Mart.

That CIB Radiant Historia I found on Facebook back in December.

Lastly, Etrian Odyssey Untold, Fossil Fighters, and Chrono Trigger all were from Gamestop.

I've heard a lot of high praise for Chrono Trigger, and so far, it's lived up to it.

I have NO IDEA why the pictures are sideways.

  5. My latest Ebay purchase, all the way from Japan.

It's a Bandai Wonderswan Color, a version of the last handheld Gunpei Yokoi designed before his untimely death.

Sadly, Bandai never brought it to America, and a lot of its best games are Japanese only.

Still, more than a few have English language options, so I look forward to diving into this obscure bit of Japanese gaming.

  6. that's the "gatfold box" version of the game , does it have the end label ?

I forget why some text labeled carts are colored that way.

worth checking out the instructions, difficulty switches used for different stuff and division tables explained ...

    http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-basic-math_11568.html

    It is indeed.

Sadly, however, the end label with the number listed on it is missing.

I'm thinking I could try to print out a replacement so it at least looks complete.

  7. Day 2 of the city-wide garage sale and the hits just keep on hitting.

Lots of PS2 games this time. DT Racer, Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies, Boogie, Casper: Spirit Dimensions, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Rock Band 2, Ski and Shoot, Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger, and We ♡ Katamari.

For the Gamecube, Harvest Moon: Magical Melody, Madden NFL 07, Nascar Thunder 2003, The Chronicles of Narnia, and the case and manual for Animal Crossing, which is perfect because my copy was missing both.

A few Wii games, too. Lego Batman, Sonic and the Secret Rings, and The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night.

I also found an extra NES RF cable that was free, and neat looking GBA carrying case.

Last, but not least, I found a Mattel Hyperscan game, Ben 10, that looks to have never been opened. I know only a little about the Hyperscan, mainly that it was an expensive failure for Mattel, but I figure the games are probably not too common in the wild. Could be valuable someday, who knows...

Also found an awesome Young Indiana Jones VHS.

This has shaped up to be an awesome Birthday weekend for me.

  8. So I went to the big city-wide garage sale today, and I do believe this is my biggest haul, EVER.

I finally found a copy of Basic Math for the 2600, one game that I've been wanting for awhile. Notice anything different about the label? I'll attach a bigger closeup of it.

Mario Kart Double Dash (Not For Resale) and Tetris Worlds for the Gamecube. The platinum controller was free.

Also found Rayman for the Playstation, Luxor: Pharaoh's Challenge for the PS2, and World Series Baseball 2K1 for the Dreamcast.

I got the Xbox 360 and Xbox One games all together for $11. L.A. Noire is unfortunately missing its first disc, but both it and the Call of Duty will be available for sale or trades if any of you guys are interested. (I don't have a 360 or Xbox One.)

Bunches of PC games this time.

Frogger, Hoyle Classic Card Games, Hoyle Word Games, The Oregon Trail, Quest For Glory Anthology, Redneck Rampage, and an edutainment title, Willy Wabbit & His Magical Books.

Also a demo disc from the July, 1998 issue of Computer Gaming World.

Last, but not least, I found a Mac version of The Journeyman Project 2: Buried in Time. Google said it was good, but since I don't currently plan to ever get a Mac, I don't know how I'll ever be able to play it.

Also found some awesome VHS and DVD movies. I especially like the Indiana Jones Collection, and that Secret of NIMH VHS.

All in all, a most productive day.
